"Upon arrival he and his employee did an amazing job prepping the home and repairing wear and cracks to a home that has been left for at least 10 years. He provided DunnEdwards evershield premium paint throughout. Not only did he do the exterior of the house...he applied a third coat to the western wall for durability, painted the walls either side of the house facing the street to match( I am on a half acre lot so far more wall than average). He also painted the interior of the walls in the backyard.
I asked for a twist in the application of the colour scheme choosing to paint an interior courtyard wall in a trim accent colour. This and all else was done perfectly and at a very high standard. There was no rush to get in and get out, rather stay until it was perfect and made sure I was totally satisfied.
I cannot recommend him enough for his abilities, knowledge and work ethics. Truly a rare tradesman today  and someone to hold onto for future projects and for your friends.

"They were efficient in terms of the process. They sent the pad in a reasonable time frame. I did have to call a couple times. It took about a month to deliver. They sent the material which was packed nicely. There were 2 issues: 1-the glue or adhesive they used smelled badly. I had to put in my garage for a couple weeks until that 2-every corner was protruded, the table pad corners were too sharp on the mat .which poses risks with small children. I called about that and they said to put some tape over it. The manager called back to discuss the issue was. She suggested that I try to fix. it. The company might have done something to repair if I had followed up."

"I accidentally drove my car through the wall of the garage. Mr. Brent Hill responded quickly to my call. He came at a time that was convenient for me. The job required more than one visit to complete the final painting. When finished, I could not tell where the repair had been done. The work blended in perfectly with the original. Mr. Hill cleaned up the area and moved everything back into place. The job was completed within a very reasonable timeframe, was done efficiently, and professionally."

"Wonderful.  This was a very tough job as the main object was to install used cabinets and arranging the cabinets took some creative work..  This included bring power through the floor to a new island.  Much repair needed to be done to the cabinets and in the absence of a cabinet to cover the stove vent we needed to install a stove hood with a chimney.  The old Mexican tile floor in the kitchen had broken tiles and tiles needed to be replaced where the floor was cut for the power line.  On top of all this there was a deadline of approximately a month.

This owner was on site during most of the work and was constantly checking with us regarding our wishes.  When he was told of our wishes he remembered them even weeks away and executed them as we wished.    He built cabinetry when there were missing pieces and matched the stain on the original cabinets extremely well.  At all times he and his workers were courteous and diligent.  Their efforts to minimize construction dust and dirt were great.  They vacuumed and cleaned the area at the end of each day.

When there were challenges in decisions or in the work needed he gave wonderful suggestions.   Small touches like replacing all electrical outlets to match the paint more closely were fabulous.    Moving an outlet inside the cabinets and an under-cabinet electrical bar for the appliance center were very successful.  These are a few of the examples which took a humble cabinet installation into a remodel beyond my wildest dreams.

He went far beyond our expectations in making custom crown molding to blend with the cabinet style.  I thought this would be more money, but it was included in the price quoted.  Floor tiles needed to be repaired and replaced (old Mexican octagon and dot pattern no longer made).  The replacement was so successful that a number of guests have commented on the excellent tile work.

The original quote was given with extremely detailed diagrams and descriptions.  We thought of it as a little high, however we now realize it is a bargain with the extraordinary care taken by the contractor.  The cost of the job was under the quoted cost.  Change orders were very reasonable.

Our home is old and needs lots of work which we will be doing over time as money allows.  We will be continuing to use this contractor.

After we had a recent major rain storm, I discovered localized interior water damage to our home at two locations.  The first location was from an exterior roof leak and the second location was from an exterior window leak.  I contacted GBP Contracting regarding assessment and repair of the problems.  Gary promptly returned my call and set up an appointment to come to our house.  Gary arrived right on time and I showed him the problem areas.  He did an inspection and took some photos and said he would quickly work up a repair proposal and e-mail to me.  Gary was very professional, easy to talk with, and listened to me which I really appreciated.  This was my first experience as a homeowner in dealing with water leak damage so I was anxious and Gary did a super job of explaining what was going on and really put my mind at ease.  The proposal arrived quickly and contained a detailed description of the work to be performed, estimate of the cost, payment terms, and schedule.  The work scope, cost, and schedule were very reasonable and I authorized work to start.  Throughout the repair process, Gary kept in regular contact to tell me when workers would arrive and what work they would do.  Some of the work was done by subcontractors and some by Gary and his staff.  Gary did a great job coordinating the work done by his subcontractors.  Everyone showed up on time and knew exactly what they needed to do.  I was never left hanging and there were no surprises.  The external problem areas at the roof and windows causing the rain leaks were identified and repaired.  They then repaired interior damage to the drywall and textured and painted to match.  All is now beautiful and leak-free.  All in all we are very pleased with the work done by Gary and GBP Contracting.  I appreciated his extensive construction expertise, professionalism, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.  We will definitely use GBP Contracting in the future and give them our highest recommendation.  Super job all the way around !!!
