"It went smoothly exactly as Paul described the job. His crew installed a sump pump and ensured in drained to the curb. The crew replaced the drain run to the curb and dug around the existing bushes. The crew also connected the the roof downspout to the run to the curb. The crew installed a perforated pipe in a trench which created a floating basement floor on 3 sides of the basement. (the 4th wall was not necessary since was an interior wall.) They concreted over the pipe with a gap to the wall. they repaired and painted the basement walls."

"Matt and his crew completed this project over a two-week period.  The scope of this project was large.  The ground around the basement walls were dug to the footers.  The house was jacked up and structurally secured before proceeding w/demolition of the walls.  A subcontractor was hired to rebuild the basement walls.  All of the crew members were very professional.  Additionally, a number of other projects were performed around the property.  The team was very open to any changes as the project moved forward.  Matt was clear on what the price of the project would be and let me know how much additional items would be if I decided to add them on to the project.  Fireside provided exceptional quality and value on this project.  <br />"

"I would like to start the review with saying the salesman was amazing. I think I asked the poor guy about 1,000 questions and he handled them all without complaint. He was wonderful to work with. I had my house resided due to storm damage. the old siding was unable to be matched and therefore I ha to replace the siding on the whole house. The sales man worked hard to make sure I was getting the best value for my money and that I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Once the contract was signed, thing went downhill very quickly. I signed the contract at the end of April. I was scheduled to have the project manager come out the following week so he could remeasure and make sure everything was set. It had been raining all day that day, but he waited for an hour before he was supposed to be there to cancel. His excuse was that he can't write when its raining. He informed me that the office person in charge of my project would contact me to reschedule. A week went by and nothing. I called her, to which it took about 3 days and 2 more calls before I finally poke to her. She had a hard time working with me to schedule a time around my work schedule. She jut scheduled a time that I did not want. After explaining that It is not past my time for my check to be refunded and i still can't get my remeasure in, I was very unhappy. She told me she would work me into another gentleman's schedule as she had found out that the Project Manager never told her that he had cancelled. I was able to move past that, since it wasn't her fault. We figured out a time and a new Project Manager came out. The remeasure was done and i was told it would be 4-6 weeks. After 5 weeks, I called to find out what was going on. She told me they were behind and that it would be a few more weeks. At the start of 4 weeks, Arnold's should have been on the phone with me keeping me updated. At the middle of June, I received a phone call and told that they would be there on July 5th to start the project. It is also important to note that I have several animals that needed to stay somewhere else during the work because of their reactions to loud noises. Being told that work would start July 5th, they were moved out on July 1, 2017 in order to get squinted with their new temporary housing. On July 5th, at 6:30 in the morning, I received an email from the office saying that the contractors would not be there to start the project. The unexpected holiday, July 4th, put them behind. You mean to tell me that NOT ONE PERSON knew July 4th, was coming up? I received a call the following week that they would start on July 14th. In the meantime, my electrician did not show up and I needed Arnold's to quickly hire an electrician to move a few things. Once the contractors arrived and saw what they electrician did, they informed he didn't eve complete the job appropriately and fixed it correctly. There was a waste of $300. It is also worth note the electrician was told something differently than what I had requested, a lie told by the office, and was also extremely rude. Ok, back to the siding. The supplies were delivered on July 13, 2017. It was a rainy day and the delivery driver left all the caulk out in the rain, which ruined the entire case. Once the crew showed up they went through the supplies and more than half of the supplies were missing, including the extra thick insulation that I upgraded. Once they called the office, they were informed that the insulation would not arrive until the next week. THE NEXT WEEK. This was unacceptable so I called the office. I was informed it was out of Arnold's control. After further inspection of the supplies, they had not been ordered until about 3 days prior. So there comes out the first lie regarding the project. After quite a bit back and forth with Arnold's office staff about the missing materials, they assured me they would have something delivered the following day so they can get started on the project and then the rest would be delivered. The new stuff was delivered, and did not fit. The delivery company was contacted and they attempted to deliver 3 more types of insulation. It took a total of 4 deliveries for them to actually get the correct insulation and the new project manager to drive over to the warehouse and walk it himself with a piece of siding to find the correct materials. Once located, they informed him it would take at least 1 week for it to arrive to Toledo. He sent someone from Arnold's (This is where things start to go uphill) to go pick it up from southern Ohio and deliver back to my house. The installation crew was amazing. They were so kind and were so incredibly helpful. While it took awhile, the project was done and the installers did absolutely beautiful work. I am so impressed by the INSTALLERS. Afterwards, it was a fight to get the office to finish the paperwork that was needed by my insurance and mortgage company. Once I paid, It was a fight to get a paid receipt even and it took a threat of having to cancel the check that I had just handed over for them to get me paid receipts. I would not recommend Arnold's as the hassle to get the work done was not worth it, at all! Am I happy with how beautiful the house turned out? Absolutely. Would i ever go through them again? NO WAY!"

"At first sight, it looked really good. Upon closer inspection there were numerous nail heads that were sticking out from the siding. I also had requested that 6" fly rafters be installed on the shed. It was obvious that the fly rafters were not 6" wide, only 4" wide. It was not long before one of the doors started to warp as well. The shingles at the ends of the shed were trimmed irregularly so that they were short in one area and longer in another. I called the owner, John, and expressed my concerns. He wanted to wait until the weather got better to make the repairs. I agreed to wait since this seemed like a reasonable request. In the meantime, two of the sheets of siding had actually some loose from the studs and the door warped so badly that I had to break the hasp in order to get into the shed. After the weather got better in the spring, I waited to hear from him about when they would make the repairs. After a couple of emails and a phone call he finally agreed to send some men out to make the repairs. Unfortunately, the weather became very wet and the repairs were postponed until it would be easier to get to my shed since it is pretty far back on my property. After a couple of months of waiting and more emails, a repair crew finally arrived. They replaced the warped door, fixed the shingles, and reattached the siding. They were supposed to have delivered a check for the difference in the price between the 4" fly rafters and the 6" fly rafters. This was not delivered. Upon close inspection of the new door, the trim that was used was of different thicknesses so that the trim joints were not flush. I called John, and emailed pictures, of this sloppy craftsmanship. He said he would send someone out to fix it , along with the refund check, as soon as possible. It never happened. I finally tired of having to call and email over and over again to try to get what I wanted. I caulked the bad joints and made them look as good as possible so that I could get a good coat of paint on the shed before winter got here. Others may have had a good experience this company, but mine has been nothing but one of frustration and dissatisfaction. <br />"

"Our sales consultant Rob Culbertson with Pella in McMurray Pa is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Rob is very affable and personable. Both my husband and I enjoyed doing business with Rob. Also, the installers were wonderful. John K and his entire crew were professional, extremely courteous and very hard working. All of the installers were invested in our complete satisfaction with their work. We are now enjoying our windows and patio sliding glass door."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Tiffin, OH

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
