"I have a large chimney with three flues that were supposedly cleaned when we bought the house last May.  I called OR Chimney and asked if they would be willing to please come and check it for me as I wasn't sure if it needed to be cleaned again or not.  It turns out that when it was cleaned last May, they only did the main fireplace and there was 10 YEARS of creosote built up in the other two.  Dan did a very thorough job with this helper Stefan and they left my house super clean, which was impressive for all of the soot they hauled out of my house. I am so happy I called them and know my chimney is much safer for the winter.  I would definitely recommend calling them! <br />"

"The work seemed to go pretty well.  However, there was a small fire in the chimney a year later.  I am not sure if the job was not done well enough or if the fire was too small.   We hadn't seen fire in the chimney prior to that. <br /> The part that we were not comfortable with was that one of the workers on the roof offered to clean the leaves out of the gutter since he was up there.  I said yes, but later he said that his company would charge a couple of hundred dollars for that and that he would only ask for a $50 tip.  He then talked to my husband and offered to clean the dryer duct for $50.  When my husband told me this, I said no more, because I felt like we were being scammed. <br /> Recently, Top Hatter called for follow up service, my husband explained the situation, and they said that that employee no longer worked for them.  Unfortunately, if left a bad taste in our mouth. <br />"
