A different large plumbing company had visited the site the day before (a Friday; we had to wait about two weeks for that appointment) and offered only one option to repair a large (3 inch X 8 inch) hole in our main sewer line: replace all 40 feet of drain pipe in our crawl space, including need to cut into drywall and wood trim in a bathroom. By 6 pm that day (Saturday) our plumbing was again fully operational. I must add that D and F is not a budget operation: we paid emergency repair prices.
