"Though the gutters were cleaned in December after the leaves had fallen, this spring of 2024 the gutters were over flowing!! I texted David regarding this issue he said they check the downspouts using a leaf blower. This spring I noticed no apparent debris from the downspouts being blown out. David said that my house is surrounded by trees and the downspouts are probably blocked again. This is 4 months later!! What would be blocking the gutters from draining. He said he'd come out but would have to charge me again, again for a service I paid for that wasn't completed properly in December. Would not recommend or use again."

"Terrible. My elderly mother called because she needed a drain installed in her front yard so she could have a driveway installed. When they got there they said they could do the drain and they could also put in the driveway. They said they could put in crushed concrete that will harden over time. She hired them. They came and spread pea gravel over the yard. Grass was still there growing through the gravel. She called and they came back and dug a little deeper and spread more gravel and told her it would harden. She has not been happy with it since and has been calling but they will not return her call. Now she is stuck in her home because they cannot plow her driveway. They will just plow up the gravel. It did not harden and will never harden they lied and took advantage of my elderly parents. My mom is my dad's caregiver, he has Alzheimer's so she has a lot on her plate and they took advantage of her. I live 4 hours away so I could not be there when they came."

Our mission is to help families improve their health, safety, comfort and finances through analysis and improvements. 85% of homes in the United States do not adequately control heat, air and moisture. A ‘poorly performing’ home can have a multitude of downstream consequences for your family including asthma and indoor air quality issues, rooms that are always too hot or too cold, unnecessarily high energy or maintenance costs, mold, carbon monoxide issues, etc. Inspired Green conducts consultations and comprehensive Home Performance Assessments to provide your family with prioritized recommendations, based in science. We install the improvements that best meet your goals and budget; we also connect you with and process any rebates and incentives available to you through state or utility programs.

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Traverse City, MI

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
