"Unfortunately this provider does not service my area. I really wish he did. Even after he discovered I'm not in his service area, he gave me advice on arsenic removal and well rehabilitation. He is clearly very knowledgeable and is not just out to make a buck. He confirmed what I suspected--that many well drillers will tell you that you need a whole new well when repair will suffice. He said the only reason to replace a well is when sand starts getting through. I recommend him highly. <br />"

"My sump pump stopped working late afternoon on the Friday after Thanksgiving. (Critical house equipment only gives up the ghost on holidays. Why is that?!) I called Walton Plumbing after 5 pm. Bill Walton answered and said he could come out the next morning to install a new 1/2 HP Rigid pump. He showed up on time (actually a little early), did a quick and excellent job and by 10:30 am on Saturday, I was back in business. The guy is no nonsense, high integrity, and really knows his stuff. I highly recommend him."

"Our furnace went out sometime during the night of January 11, 2019. I called LOPH&C at 7:30 am the 12Th. My call was taken and the rep explained my options and scheduled a service technician for later in the day Saterday so we wouldn’t have to pay extra for emergency service. The repair technician arrived around noon and was able to repair our furnace, installing a new igniter and blowing out a a drain line. I was impressed with the time line, cost and professionalism."

"From the moment Joe picked up my call the plan was formed. Fast turnaround on site visit for estimate. Very fair pricing. Lead time was long, but that's the state of things now. When time came to execute project, there were no delays. His office organized permits and inspections. His crews were courteous, hard working and left the interior job site in a broom-swept / shop-vac'd at the end of each work day. The exterior driveway was hosed down and scrubbed from all debris. Drainage system installation was done very nicely, using all proper fittings, cleanouts and flashings. The new concrete pour was feathered into the existing concrete slab very nicely. I likely won't buy a post-war bungalow missing a sump system again, but if I do, WaterBGone will be doing the installation."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Trenton, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
