Matt was slow to contact me after my purchase, but once he did, we agreed on a time for the visit. He asked if I had any problems before he went up, and I told him about a leak around a sewer vent pipe during violent storms. When he came off the roof, he said that he sealed the leak around the pipe but recommended a new boot which would cost around $250. He also said that I needed to replace the roof ridge vent because it was only nailed in. The nails were popping out, and he also sealed those after nailing them back in. A new ridge vent would run around $500.

Matt had a very low energy, flat affect both on the phone and in person. I didn't feel confidence in his ability or advice. The next day I had a contractor over to give me a quote on a home improvement project. I trusted his judgment and asked him to check on Matt's work.
