"Our home well pump stopped working - at a very hot time of summer. We use a lot of waster within the house and have a large lawn irrigation system. I called Dyer Well Drilling prior to 8 a.m. and they sent two technicians out, Kyle and Mason, who came to the house within hours to ascertain the problem, which was that our system was nearly 30 years old and simply needed to be replaced. They were very helpful. Subsequently, a technician by the name of Harley replaced the well pump, motor controls, and interior pressure tank and control box. He was super competent, courteous, and dedicated, staying well into the evening to get the project done. The system is high-tech and very quiet, and our water pressure has increased significantly. I was remarkably impressed with the responsiveness of the team at Dyer Well Drilling. Had they simply waited one additional day, we would have had to get a hotel room and we would have lost a lot of flowers/plants due to our irrigation system being down. Super impressed all around."

"I signed the contract in December and they didn't start until May, but after seeing all that they had to do to put in the well, I fully understand why.  The weather did not cooperate until then, and they always put the person first, who is without any water at all.  This is a highly professional company.  They do what needs to be done to do the job correctly.  Both father and son are more experienced at their jobs than most.  The time they took to explain why they did what they did, really showed their level of care and training they put into the job they did.  They were careful to find out what I wanted my well to be able to do, so they could come up with a well that would meet my needs, and that's what I got.  If you have a well company come in and tell you how deep your well will be before they even start drilling, walk away.  They knew that good water was a priority with me, and they kept checking the sand as they drilled, until they had what they were looking for.  I would hire this company again in a heart beat!  Wonderful people, wonderful, professional job! <br />"

"We had an emergency when the sump pump stopped working. They came right over and fixed it within a few hours. The sump is just off our family room. Integrity took care to leave the room as clean as it was when they got here. On their second visit, Integrity installed a handheld shower fixture. We had them back again to install new sink fixtures. They did a great professional job. Their response time was amazing. We like that they arrive when they say they will, and their cost is very reasonable. It is important to us that we feel comfortable with any workmen in our home. We felt very comfortable with Integrity and plan to have them back again. They are our "go to" plumbers."

"Bottom line - we have decided to go elsewhere. Our house has a 10-year old 65 gallon water heater and we are going to replace it in the interest of preventative maintenance.  The representative from Affordable Plumbing told us that 65 gallon tanks were no longer available, and we would have to choose either 50 or 75.  Not a big deal, but read on. They presented a quote in both sizes with good, better, best options, the only apparent variable being the length of the warranty. When the representative presented the quote, he also presented an invoice for $49 for the "evaluation".  I paid it, although this charge was not mentioned when I made the appointment. <br /> I went on the Bradford White web site so I could try to learn about the differences in the good, better, best scenarios.  The web site has dozens of options. So I called Affordable and asked them to give me the model numbers that were quoted on so I could do the research.   <br /> The first thing they said was the "good" option was no longer available.  Okay.  They gave me 2 model numbers. I looked them up and one was for high altitude (2000 feet above sea level) I live in Lowell at about 750 feet above sea level. I called again and asked for some clarification.  To this day, I have not heard back from them.   <br /> Since I haven't heard back from them, I can only conclude that the good-better-best thing was all baloney.  Differentiation through obfuscation.  <br /> I have since had two other companies give me quotes.  Neither one had any problem locating a 65 gallon unit.   <br /> Neither one charged me $50 for the opportunity to quote.  Finally, Affordable pricing was the highest of the three who quoted.   <br /> I guess you can name your company anything you want, but in my opinion, Affordable is a misnomer.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"They did a great job. Very professional. The only reason I didn’t choose them is because another company lowered their price by almost $2,000 to get the job. (All companies came in around the same price.) But I probably would’ve gone with B Dry otherwise."

"This company is absolutely wonderful beginning with the courtesy when I called to schedule an appointment the first time. Next Jack N who arrived at my home on time and as promised. He provided me estimate for the repair and went over every detail of it with me. When the crew arrived to do the job they were very professional and performed the job as promised. I have a large house that was built in 1902 and was NOT able to find anyone willing to tackle my problem. Acculevel came in and fixed every issue. My house has a tight crawl space but Acculevel was able to replace a beam and the sister joist. In addition provided support and leveled out my floor. This was done without needing to cut a hole in my floor. The results were immediate and my floor looks and feels wonderful. I immediately noticed the stability. I can not thank Acculevel enough for their hard work and reasonable pricing for my job. I would highly recommend them for all your foundation and stabilization needs. Super job Acculevel!!!! 10 stars"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Twin Lake, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
