"First off, calling any Door or Window company around here is a crap shoot and nothing but high pressure to close the deal. Most use this tactic of requesting both spouses be home to have better odds of selling you.....that is a joke. But let me tell you we called Legacy windows and Doors and this guy Mark shows up who is totally down to earth, professional and NO high sales pitch. We live in a woods that is very damp all year and really **** ** anything wood, so I know I wanted to go with some vinyl replacements but not break the bank. Mark took a look around the house, I explained what I was thinking and he listened to everything and came up with a great triple pane replacement window plan. A really good middle of the road replacement window for our neighborhood. At no time did I feel pressured or have that feeling of kicking him out of the house because he wasn't listening and was just trying to up sell us to something we didn't need. It really was a no-brainer to go with Legacy. We signed the deal, about 3 or 4 weeks later the windows came. Mark's crew was totally awesome, very professional and real craftsmen who knew what they were doing, and didn't take them long at all. I don't say this very often but very trustworthy and they seemed to care about the smallest of details. I would also add communication with Mark was great and prompt. Trust me, this company is worth the call and they may operate in Indy and Carmel but they have a very small town feel and attitude. I would use Legacy Windows and Doors again in a heartbeat. "House was originally painted in 2006.  Advertising from company says paint lasts a lifetime, but unfortunately it doesn't....Nothing lasts a lifetime and warranty is only good for owners at the time of service.  With our initial telephone call I was told that the person I needed to schedule with was out of the country for 2 weeks and they would have him call me upon his return.  After almost 3 weeks, he didn't call so I had to call the office back.  The process of getting him out to look at the areas that needed to be touched up took several more weeks, each time with me calling the office.  This was also very frustrating since the only person that could help me worked part-time, so it was hit or miss to reach her when I called, and it was hit or miss for her to return my telephone calls.  After several weeks I was finally told the painter would be out on a certain day to do the work.  He and I walked around the house so I could show him the areas.  It was kind of a wasted effort as he missed spots I pointed out.  During the initial painting in 2006, the garage windows (2) were not painted at all.  He took care of those, as well as having to repaint 3 kitchen windows....All the windows that were done were painted shut AGAIN!

"Great job by these guys. Doug offered a style of fence that is 100% privacy that noone else seemed familiar with. They also weld metal framing to help support the gates they build which is really nice and something noone else offered. The price was as good or better than any of the estimates I got from Indianapolis companies and I had several of them out here. I recieved 8 estimates alltogether. The workers, Wes and his helper Gary, are very proffesional and clearly know what they're doing. Wes has built fences for over 20 yrs. "This was our third hiring of Champion since last spring. The first time it was a kitchen window and patio door. The second was a four season sunroom (which they're building now). Now it was two entry doors. Aaron Willhoite was the salesman we met with this time. He was very friendly and answered our many questions about why they're doors are different then the big box stores, Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but once we figured the price in the long run wasn't much more and less headaches, we went with Champion again. Yes, we did run into delays with the sunroom, then again Corvid did cause problems everywhere. Their products have been to date high quality and would consider them again in the future for other projects. "Timely, same day, sincerely tried to complete job, but I was short one sheet of paneling. I thought the price might be a little high, but they told me it included them coming back to put up the other panel when I get it. Nice touch!"

"First Thad helped me to determine which roofing product I wanted. I thought I wanted metal, but Thad showed me that metal was too expensive and not appropriate for the pitch of my roof. We went with a lifetime guarantee energy-star-rated asphalt shingle instead.
Thad presented a clear and detailed price quote. He stuck to this quote, except for extra work which was required because of damage found. He charged me for the extra work at an hourly rate.
Because of the low pitch of my roof and shoddy workmanship when the house was built, Mike and Thad found extensive damage under the old shingles. There were rotten truss tails, rotten decking, and rafters that weren't nailed in place, as well as misalignment caused by one part of the house settling. The ideal solution would have been to tear off all trusses and start over, but I could not have afforded that. Mike and Thad applied their carpentry skills to anchor rafters, to shim bowed trusses, and to fasten new wood on either side of rotted trusses, cutting the new wood to just the right angle.
If you are a looking for a person to do a fast and dirty roof job (say for a property you're going to sell), do not hire Thad. If you want a roof on a building that you plan to keep for a long time, then I highly recommend Thad. He is a perfectionist. He ignored no problem, but for each one either got me up on the roof to see or showed me a photo, and then described options for fixing the problem. I feel very confident that my roof is now solid and sound and will last for years. I most definitely would hire Thad again.
About the snow retention system on my parents' roof, Thad put many hours of research into finding the best product. The installation happened without a hitch and the price was as quoted.
