"For several years, we’ve been planning to replace our kitchen counters. When Angie’s List promoted a deal offered by Jeffress Stone, we inquired whether this was the deal we’d been looking for. And it really turned out to be, from quality of the stone to craftsmanship to value. First, Jeffress sent us photos of the stones included in the deal. When we realized we couldn’t make a decision based solely on photographs, Jeffress arranged for us to visit their warehouse, where we were treated graciously. But we found something we liked much more than the samples, and feared that the up-sell would bust the deal. But the added cost proved to be reasonable and fair. Both direct contacts were professional and timely. Gary arrived a few minutes early to make measurements and the template, and that process took nearly two hours. As a result, the finished stone fit perfectly. Similarly, the installation crew arrived a few minutes early, and the owner, Dave, followed close on their heels. He was present throughout the entire installation. We were especially impressed by the care with which the crew mixed caulk to match our cabinets exactly for one tricky seam. The crew took care to clean up when the job was done and to make sure we were satisfied with the installation. "We initially hired Tony to clean and refinish our hard wood floors. Tony came to the house and explained his work philosophy and how his team would do the work. He was thorough and answered all of our questions. The workers came on time, and did a great job bringing 20-year old floors back to life. We were so pleased that also called on Tony to put in new carpeting on the basement for us. Again, he did a great job addressing and remedying any concerns that we had. "He did a real good job of cleaning up. He has a helper and he always works with him. He does not put him on the job and come back and check later. He did a good job and he was supposed to give me an estimate on repairing of the wall. He was honest and hardworking and that is why i went with me. I am concerned about matching colors on my roof and he paid details to that. My brother said however they had not fill up a couple of ports on the roof. He thought they over looked it other than that he did a good job."

"I researched various types of kitchen countertops for a while, and chose quartz instead of granite because the prices were comparable, the color pattern was more consistent with quartz (without picking out a particular slab of granite), and I did not have to consider future resealing as a possibility. I also considered several different vendors and received estimates. Then I entered my request online with Origins Granite, which was recommended by others on Angie's List, and immediately received a call from them. They sent a representative to my home that brought various samples. I decided to use them because the price they quoted me was all-inclusive and better than previous estimates, including all the plumbing work, new sink and edge cuts that cost extra with other vendors. The only thing that I had to purchase separately was the faucet; they used the model number to fabricate the holes needed in the countertop. About one week after signing the contract, they called to say my color choice had become unavailable. They presented three other choices but recommended one of the three as the closest to my original choice. I agreed and immediately realized from my previous research that it was from a more expensive manufacturer. They assured me that my original price quote would not change. They took care of everything: measurements were taken and installation was completed on the date I originally requested. I am very happy with the outcome; it is a great match for my kitchen. All of the people I dealt with at the office and in my home were very accommodating, courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this company to others.
