"Heartwood was recommended by Reico Kitchen and Bath in Springfield, VA, my cabinet supplier. I'd originally considered engineered quartz but when three styles I chose turned out to be backordered I took a fresh look at the Corian offerings and chose a Private Collection style in Clamshell. The material is one and a half inches thick with the plywood backing so it replicates the solid look of stone countertops, even around the sink, where Heartwood also built it up. I have gotten so many compliments on it, especially from people who don't realize there are alternatives to granite. "I contracted Jed Dinger Design to build a media wall cabinet for my flat screen tv and components. It was a unique design that I couldn't find online or in the store. I wanted a particular wood, stain and size. Additionally, I wanted it to operate in a certain way. Jed took all my ideas and built a beautiful and solid cabinet that operates just as I wanted if not better. Furthermore, it was easy to work with him. Generally, we communicated via phone and email. I provided him photos and the necessary measurements. He kept me updated on the progress of the cabinet by sending me pictures. I went to his shop to bring certain items that he needed. He came to the house to do the install. I definitely would hire him again."

He removed the kitchen cabinet above the refrigerator and put toe kicks on as well as a beautiful new top and sides. It now stands as a beautiful cabinet on the floor. He built a new smaller cabinet that is now above the refrigerator. As a result, we now have a fully functioning refrigerator as well as a cabinet with doors that open fully so that we can use them. "Greatly exceeded our expectations! Based on our initial conversation with Jaye, he provided several drawings so we could get an idea of how what we ask for would actually look -- very helpful. The project included tearing out an older dog shower, replacing an exterior door to the room, replacing roll tile with ceramic tile, and adding storage cabinets and granite counter tops. Also, he relocated some plumbing fixtures and an electrical outlet so they would be more accessible for the new (not built-in) dog shower. Finally, he replaced the sink, repainted the room and did a number of other tasks -- too many to list. Jaye was extremely professional. Over the period of the project, he arrived precisely when he said it would, kept the work area spotless, and hauled away the debris each day.
