"Great job. Arrived right on time and repaired track on sliding door that had become very worn and difficult to move door over. Also replaced the rollers. The door now slides very smoothly."

"True Built did an excellent job on my tile roof replacement. Weston Farnes was the rep who came to my house and quoted the job. Once the job started he was always available for questions day or night. The crew did a great job and made sure clean up was done each night when they left. I would highly recommend True Built to anyone who needs roofing repair or replacement."

"My garage door broke the other day. It was part old age and part self-inflicted. My efforts to try to fix it only made it worse, leaving my garage totally unusable with both cars stuck outside. This happened at night, so all the garage service companies were closed. I researched several garage repair companies and found Foothills Garage. I called first thing in the morning and Steve said he could be out within 1-2 hours. He arrived within the hour and determined I needed a new opener. This wasn’t the news I wanted to hear, but my opener was old and the price of a new one was reasonable and it came with new gadgets. He had to pick up the opener, so he left and told me he’d be back by 11am to install the new opener. By noon that day, the garage door was fixed, and both cars were parked in the garage!!! I had left messages for other garage door companies that morning, prior to contacting Foothills Garage. By the time they called me back, my garage door was already fixed! Fast response, reasonably price and professional…Great job Foothills Garage!"

"I can't recommend 1st Security highly enough.  I spent more time than I'd wanted to trying to find a reputable home security company that offered a reasonable price for its service.  Despite calling one company three times I couldn't get a call back and other companies I called sounded clueless about the services they provided or were immediately trying to sell me their most expensive products when I was just trying to get some basic information.

When I called 1st Security I spoke to Larry, who was immediately helpful and knowledgeable.  He was able to get me an appointment the next day, a Saturday, to have someone come out and look at my home so I could determine the most appropriate options.  Jeremy was the person who came out and, like Larry, he provided a lot of good and useful information about the company and its products but was not at all pushy in steering me toward anything I didn't want or need.  He was also able to get me an appointment that same day to have the system installed.  It ended up being Larry who installed the system and he did a great job.  He worked quickly and explained everything well and he also made sure things were set up in a way that was as unobtrusive as possible, which was important as the house is brand new.

When I emailed a few days later with a question Larry responded quickly and the system has been working great ever since it was installed.

"Provider arrived on time and went to work. I had replaced the bottom rollers on a patio door in a former residence and had to remove the door. I was surprised to see they did not. They went in the side of the door while it was in place. Replacement of two (2) rollers took less than half hour. Door was bumping and sticking. Rolls smoothly now.

"Process went well, it is very expensive, but they are very good windows, Low E, vinyl and filled with argon gas. Hopefully the money I save on my electric bill will help pay for the windows. Sales guy came out and we decided to just do the upstairs. Took about 3 weeks to get the windows. The install team came and were very friendly they did a good job, had a little mishap where one of the old windows was dropped and cracked my other window. Which they are going to replace. They had some trouble replacing the sliding door with the french doors, but took their time did it right and made it look good. So overall a pretty good experience. Once I pay off some bills I will have them finish with the rest of the house.

FAQs for doors (interior) installation and replacement projects in Valley-farms, AZ

If your existing frame is in good shape, you can replace an interior door without changing the frame. This is a budget-friendly option because it saves on the cost of removing and installing a new frame. By choosing a slab door that fits your current frame, you'll save on labor and materials. Just make sure the new door matches the old one's dimensions for a smooth replacement.

Standard interior doors are 80 inches tall and range from 28 to 32 inches wide. Interior doors vary from 24 to 36 inches wide, depending on their purpose and the available space. Building codes require interior doors to be at least 80 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Knowing standard sizes helps you select a new door that fits properly in your existing opening.

It costs $600 to $2,000 or more to move an inside door. The total price depends on your location, the type of door, and materials needed to complete the project. Moving an interior door requires walling up the leftover space and opening up a new wall where you want the door to go instead. You’ll also want to plan for the expense of framing the new wall opening and adding trim.

Exterior door installation costs an average of $1,175, with a typical range of $525 to $1,800. The higher expense compared to the cost of interior doors comes from the need for exterior doors to be weather-proofed and they are often made of thicker, more durable materials. The associated exterior hardware must also be able to withstand harsh weather, so these cost more as well.

It costs between $300 to $2,500 to make a doorway wider on average. However, the wider you need the space to be, the more it will cost. Some homeowners choose to widen interior doorways to make the house more wheelchair accessible. In order to be wheelchair accessible, an interior door needs to be at least 32 to 36 inches wide. Also, some older homes just have narrow doorways due to the nature of how homes were built differently many decades ago.

It takes between two to five hours for a professional door installer to install an interior door, depending on complexity and materials. A pre-hung door typically takes around two hours, and larger doors like double French doors can take up to five hours. If you’re doing the project yourself, expect it to take a little longer than that, especially if you have little to no experience completing this type of project. Keep in mind that a pre-hung door can be installed about an hour or two faster than a slab door.
