"We hired Plymouth Meeting Nursery to completely transform the exterior landscape of our 100+ year-old home, where we live with our three young children and our ever-faithful golden retriever. As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. Plymouth Meeting Nursery delivered on all counts. The scope of work was extensive and included the demolition of all existing landscaping, a deck, concrete walkways, fencing, and excess soil. In its place, the team installed new fencing, a beautiful cedar pergola, repointed brickwork on our home, irrigation, a synthetic lawn alongside fresh sod and thoughtfully selected plantings, outdoor lighting, a stunning bluestone patio with brick steps and retaining wall, a brick and bluestone fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator. "We got lots of estimates to install an irrigation system and landscape lighting. When I met with Joe he was not interested in selling me equipment but spent the time going over what we actually needed....especially for landscape lighting. His approach was great, he came up with a solution for our watering needs and a simple version for the landscape lighting since we weren't sure how much light we wanted.....Once we see it, if we want more highlighting it could easily be added.....which we did on 2 other occasions. His workers too great care of my property and when they had a question about location of sprinkler head they came and discussed it with me before moving forward. One of the best contractor experiences we have had. Almost forgot...we have a collection area where all the underground pipes disperse water from our gutters. That was always full of water when Joe mentioned that the pip wasn't done correctly....since he had the equipment and the machinery already on the property he took care of that for me. Even with this wet spring we have not seen any signs of water from the collection area overflowing. I've already referred them to many neighbors since everyone loves the landscape lighting."

"Called to get estimate to replace sprinkler conrol box. Beau gave estimate over the phone, was able to replace box right away, instructed us how to use new controls. Since he was so professional, we asked for estimate to replace broken section of our system. He gave reasonable estimate, did the work quickly. "Pell Tree Company exceeded our expectations in every way!!! They provided recommendations, pruned several trees, cabled two of our tress, removed several very large trees, and ground the stumps. They had the equipment and skilled team to complete the job quickly and efficiently. They worked with great care lifting large portions of trees over our house as well as threading large portions of trees through other trees to get them to the curb. Daniel worked like an artist pruning our trees and was masterful along with his team while removing several of our very large trees. The results of his pruning turned out better than we imagined. The team was constantly cleaning up the area and left our property without debris each day with the exception of the large tree trunks that were hauled away at the end of the project. The entire company was very respectful and reliable. They left our yard looking better than when they arrived. As an unexpected bonus, we learned that Pell does installations, so Pell also replaced two very old yew bushes with two high quality Skip Laurels. We are very happy with the outcome of all of their work!"

"<p>My yard can be some what swampy if we have had substantial rain, so Ryan held off until it dried before coming in with a skid loader on tracks which he used to remove the bushes and roots. His men then dug out any remaining roots and leveled out the areas. They took down 3 tree limbs, one small mulberry tree and even cut up & removed a large branch which was in the creek and collecting debris. They put down top soil & grass seed.  They dug out a 4 X 20 foot bed around 4 azaleas and put down mulch. When they finished they cleaned up any and all debris. Would definitely use again.</p> <br />"

"John and his son Brian completed a full kitchen remodel at our house. It was a fairly big project including removing a wall, closing up a window, flooring, cabinets, appliance install etc. They were both able to do all the work themselves, not needing to hire subcontractors as was the case with many of the other contractors we spoke to. The work itself is of great quality, the job took a little longer than expected but they both made sure it was done to perfection. We would hire them again for future projects."

"They were absolutely amazing. I was assigned them by the city through the rain check Philadelphia program so I didn’t get to research too much before beginning my project but WOW! I’m so happy they were the ones selected for me. For years (since buying my house) My backyard was always very embarrassing to me and I hated having people over but now I can’t wait until I can have a dinner party and show it off to all of my friends! High quality work, friendly and prompt service. Very comminicative, informative and knowledgeable. It took them 5 days to break the concrete, dig up the underlying dirt lay the different gravel layers and lay the bricks. The only minor critique I have is that the soil in the cut away is a little shallow so when I planted my tomatoe plant there was some gravel in the hole. Other than that I could not be more satisfied with their work! It’s beautiful, it’s helping the environment and it was fast! Thank you so much!!"
