"I called a few plumbing companies on Angie's List for a rough estimate of the repair cost. A few gave quotes for replacing both the flush valve and the flapper fill valve. Dave came out and replaced the flush valve gasket. He said the flapper fill valve was still good unless I wanted it replaced he could do that. I stayed with the flapper valve I had. He gave me several options about dealing with the leaky valve because he was able to tighten it so it wouldn't leak; however it was old and would likely need to be replaced sooner rather than later. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. I have also used these plumbers for a new water heater, replacing a toilet, and twice for repairs of leaking situations."
