"<p>Jim at Carpet Classics helped me select carpet for a large family room, stairs, hallway and bedrooms.  Jim was very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful.  He provided a very personalized carpet selection experience completely opposite of my experience at a big box store.  Based on my answers to a few quick questions about my house and use of the rooms needing carpet, Jim quickly made recommendations about appropriate carpet choices and made the selection process very easy.  He came to my home to measure and provide more information.  The carpet was installed within 2 weeks of the date I ordered it.  His installation crew was awesome!!  They were very professional, friendly and hardworking.  They moved all the furniture, explained exactly what they were doing, finished when they said they would and did an amazing job.  The carpet looks and feels great!  I would highly recommend Jim and his installation crew to anyone!</p> <br />"

"They were great at helping me select carpet, they came out and measured ahead of time, and gave me a quote. I purchased during their customer appreciation day which gave me a little discount, and a free gift with purchase. The installers arrived on time, were very courteous, cleaned up well, and did a great job. All of their people were great to work with."

"Dave and his crew really came through for us. We had pre-purchased carpet for a remodeled attic about a year earlier that needed to be installed. When the crew came to Install the carpet they let us know that we did not buy enough carpet to finish the job. Dave and his team installed what they could and then squeezed us into their packed schedule a week later after we purchased the remaining carpet. The crew was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Our carpet looks great and we are glad we found Pannell Floors!"

"Very quick to schedule the initial bid. They're always busy during the week, but they do estimates/bids on Saturdays. The son came out to do the estimate, then he and Dave, the father, both showed up for the install. There was a problem with the old floor, so instead of installing the new floor over it, they ripped it out, bought plywood, laid it, then beautifully put down the new floor. They were extremely polite and quite reasonable about the extra cost of the plywood and additional time everything took."

"Price can;t be beat...i was paying $150 at least per area, and Pat charged me a 200 minimum to do everything. Super friendly, efficient, and professional. I had 3 areas where the carpet was pulling back from the hardwoods. One area was bubbling a bit and was at least 6 feet long. Everything was stretched, additional carpet tack was added to make the height difference between the two floor less dramatic so future pulling away will be minimized."

"I asked for a quick and inexpensive clean to make our carpet presentable until new carpet is installed next month--and i needed it right away-- and they delivered just that. Called me back almost immediately, worked me in to their schedule quickly, good quality job, reasonable price, exactly what I asked for, nice to work with. Will call them again."

"What a great experience after dreading what all could happen during a whole-house carpet replacement. The pricing was competitive, timely installation dates were available, furniture moving was done well, clean-up was great, and best of all, the installers were wonderful--no loud music, no smoking, showed up on time and stayed until the job was done to our satisfaction,. <br>"

"<p>The work ethics and professional integrity of Trevor and Keith is what you would have gotten 30 years ago, not what you sometimes get today. No short cuts for these guys.</p> <p>They were just wonderful. They were here for three days installing Laminate and my Carpet. Which has rolled edges going down 13 steps and also on the walkway. Lots of work. But I could not have 2 more wonderful and professional working at my house. Always a smile and even when they had to move the heaviest furniture, they joked. Very pleasant experience. But the thing that impressed me the most was when they came upon a huge spot that was on my floor after removing patting , I felt it , and it was dry. I would not have thought a thing about it and some installers would have covered it . But not them , they cut out the piece and fixed it. They said it had dry rot in it and they could not cover it without fixing it. They nailed some steps and floors that creaked. They never took short cuts with anything they did. They treated my house like they would their own. Even taking of heavy mirrored doors and the track to put down the laminate.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Rose V</p> <p>Gresham, OR<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Vernonia, OR

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
