"Company and Technician were professional, experienced and thorough. They sent me real time video of questionable areas on my cell phone so I can see what they see and assess the situation. Would definitely hire them again if needed. I would also highly recommend this company to anyone with a pest control problem."

He explained everything he was doing to rid my home of the animals and also explained the bait traps and items bait used assured me they were SAFE and EFFECTIVE. "I noticed there were several wasps flying in and out of my roof eave. I contacted Arkadia Pest Control because they have an A rating and over 100 review on Angie’s List. I requested to have the wasps in my attic exterminated. A technical arrived the following day. The technician explained his plan of attack in detail. He answered all of my questions and addressed all of my safety concerns. He was able to quickly locate the nest in the attic. Not only did the technician kill the wasps he removed the entire nest from the attic to dispose of it. At my request, the technician filled the void in the attic with gap filler at no extra change! Arkadia pest control fee includes a 3 month warranty which is generous. If I encounter any pest in the future I will contact Arcadia again."

"Gary is fantastic and I would highly recommend him! We had a bird nest in our attic and Gary was very responsive and went the extra mile to resolve the issue. In a span of a week he had to address the issue multiple times as many birds were stuck in the attic. Each time Gary was timely and addressed the issue with no extra cost or fuss. His experience came through as he installed a one way door to give the birds enough time to escape."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Verona, NJ

Bats slip through gaps as small as 1/4 inch, so your best defense is a thorough seal-up and a few simple habit tweaks. Start by caulking or screening every crack around chimneys, eaves, and vents. Swap dim porch bulbs for brighter LEDs or motion lights (bats dislike the glare), and consider an ultrasonic deterrent if they keep circling.

Finally, remove easy snacks—cover standing water and skip the nighttime bird-feeder refills. These steps go a long way toward keeping your home bat-free.

Standard homeowners’ insurance rarely pays for bat removal because insurers view it as routine maintenance. You might get partial help for guano cleanup or related repairs, but that varies by policy. Review your insurance policy carefully and contact your provider for a definitive explanation. Securing all entry points remains the homeowner’s responsibility to prevent future incursions.

The sweet spot for bat exclusion is late summer through spring. That window keeps you inside most state rules and protects baby bats that haven’t learned to fly yet. Removal activities are conducted when bats are less active, with some states permitting work from August through May and others ceasing removal in March. Consult a qualified bat removal specialist to confirm the valid timeframe for your area.

Spotting a dead bat can be unsettling, but a calm, careful approach keeps everyone safe. First, call your state wildlife office to report the find and ask about local rules. Snap a quick photo from a distance, then—wearing disposable gloves—place the bat in a sealed plastic bag for disposal as directed.

Wipe down nearby surfaces with disinfectant, wash your hands thoroughly, and schedule a pest-control pro to make sure no live bats (or harmful guano) remain hidden in the house.
