"As a repeat customer, I can say that Billy never fails to deliver great customer service at a great price. He is honest and knowledgeable. We had an issue with our sewage exit drain pipe after record rain. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it. After the hole was dug he also noticed what could be another issue and upon further uncovering, he was 100% correct. Our pipe was semi disconnected just a bit further down the line. Taking care of that problem too while the hole was open saved us money and headaches! Our system is up and running well and the price was more than fair. If you want an honest, knowledgeable contractor, hire Amos!"

"The drains and toilets in our house were not going into the septic system as they should. Instead they were backing up into the bathrooms, laundry room, and kitchen. They came out on time and cleared the drains through the main line, and emptied out the septic system, 2 weeks after I had paid another local plumber to do but they did not. Unfortunately the <strong>"other"</strong> plumber is not on Angie's list for me to review. <br />  Roto Rooter workers were very professional and had to tear up our patio (because we found out the previous owner covered the main line and the septic tank with a patio). We discovered that the main drain line to the septic tank was a flexible hose and had caved in from all the pressure of the dirt and patio that it was covered with. <br /> Roto Rooter quoted us an additional $800.00 to dig up patio and change the main line, but we did not have that kind of money at the time, so my husband and son dug it up and replaced the line. <br /> Although I did not use them to dig up the patio and replace the main line; I am very happy with the work that Roto Rooter had performed and the knowledge the men had about the issues we were having. As the "Other" plumber wanted to rip out everything and replace it all including the tank and drain field. <br /> When we have any other issues or just need the septic tank to be emptied, <strong> I will be sure to call Roto Rooter FIRST!</strong> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Called True Value in Georgetown for a recommended plumber when I found my disposer had a <strong>major leak. </strong>They were able to squeezer me in the very next day. Two plumbers came and very efficiently worked on all items and were done in no time. They didn't waste any time. They also showed and explained what they did to fix all items. It is nice to find a true plumbing busiiness that is honest, efficient, trustworthy and caring for customer service. <br /> My son's gas water heater went and I gave him Tony Perks name. "David did an awesome job! I called and they came out the same day Once the toilet was removed, it was determined the flange was not flush with the floor. He went thru all available options to fix the problem. David was very thorough with the job, explained what he was doing, answered all question I had and cleaned up after he finished. I will definitely recommend them to others. There is a 30 day warranty, and a military discount!"

"Carlos did a great job remodeling my shower stall. The work was outstanding. I had him continue on and remodel the rest of the bathroom. Soon after, we had him do the guest bathroom bathroom, and then onto the kitchen. His prices were very good, and his work was excellent."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Vienna, GA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
