"We live in Mission Viejo and are so pleased with our shower replacement by Shugarman?s Bath of Anaheim. It is beautiful and just what we wanted. From the planning to installation everything went smoothly- efficient, professional and timely. . We were impressed by Ruben, who performed the installation. He was very courteous and showed great dedication to the project. He did an excellent job. We would definitely call on Shugarman?s when we are ready for an upgrade on our second bathroom. "

"We are so glad we chose Coastal Kitchens and Baths Inc. for our remodeling project. They did such a great job on our master bath, guest bath, and the flooring throughout our house. The luxury vinyl looks amazing and completely transformed our home. John was very hands-on and made sure everything was completed with attention to detail. I could even text him late in the evening—sometimes around 9:30—and he would respond right away. That level of communication and dedication made the whole process smooth and stress-free. We are extremely happy with the results and would definitely use Coastal Kitchens and Baths Inc. again."

"Terrible people. DO NOT USE. I had my water main line burst at my house and the folks at drain right where in the neighborhood, identified a problem, and knocked on my door. My pregnant wife was home at the time of pipe bust, but was initially unaware of the issue as water was still making it to our home. At first we thought this was a godsend, nice workers who identified an issue wanted to help, how lucky are we. They kindly shut off the water to the house and asked my pregnant wife, who was freaking out by the amount of water shooting out from burst pipe, to sign an authorization form to do work. She was so grateful someone was there to help she happily signed the slip. I was grateful someone was able to help my wife while I was at work. The problem started when I noted what she had signed.. They charged me $341 for a visual inspection. They identified the problem as a tree root that struck a pipe (which was not what in fact happened) and wrote 2 appraisals for solving the issue. The fist solution was replacing the galvanized pipe with another galvanized pipe for $7500. The second was to re reroute the sewer line to our house with copper piping, estimated at a whopping $11,300. I tried to call manager the evening of the pipe bust schedule an appointment as the water was shut off to my house. No response. In fact it took the manager a week to return my phone call to schedule the job, which I had bid out and already resolved. I was recommended a plumber to get a second opinion, and he came promptly and re-routed the sewer line with coper piping for less than half what Drain Right was asking for the job. I have been trying to dispute this invoice with Drain Right for months because its my belief they initially took advantage of my pregnant wife and there terrible service, and instead of returning my phone calls they sent my bill to a debt collection service. What horrible service by a terrible business."

Customers say: Quality work

"We are very pleased with our whole house remodel performed by our contractor, Rick Simmons of Coastline Construction. We received four bids from various contractors which were all competitive. We chose Rick for various reasons including that he was easy to communicate with and that he uses his own very skilled employees, no subcontractors. We completely remodeled the kitchen, the main and secondary bathroom, laundry room and installed new flooring throughout that required grinding and leveling the concrete slab. Every wall and ceiling was retextured and painted. It was a HUGE job. Rick is a hands-on contractor who stopped by the house 3-4 times a week (sometimes everyday!). Rick kept us up to date on scheduling and every addition we made to the scope of work was clearly documented in change orders that we discussed with him. We had a good idea of what we wanted design-wise and the end result reflects that vision."

"It has been my great good fortune to have hired American Home Remodeling to renovate our bathroom. They removed the old tub and tile from the existing bathroom and installed a beautiful shower in its place, and it’s fantastic! The crews... Paul and Franciso, and Fernando and Maurico, were professional, friendly and could not have worked harder. They arrived at the specified times, and did not leave until the project was completed and cleaned up. Our project coordinator, Marissa Cortez, was outstanding. She kept us up to date and responded to my questions super-fast, with knowledge and great kindness. There is little more stressful than doing renovations, but this company could not have been more wonderful. If you are looking for a quality company to improve your home, I cannot recommend this company more highly. "

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Villa Park, CA

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
