"Nathan and his crew were very professional, showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner. They were always very polite and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. I initially hired Power Builders to perform one job but ended up having them quote and repair three separate issues. Their prices are reasonable especially for the quality. I did have one small issue with the look of a repair to which Nathan came out promptly and fixed without any question. I would definitely recommend Power Builders and would hire them again."

"I called Precise Plumbing because I found mold and a damp spot under the edge of my cabinet in the half bath.  James looked at the half bath, and  then he looked at the pipes accessible through venting under the water heater.  He determined the source of the leak within 15 minutes of his arrival.  He informed me that the leak was in the manifold,  and he could either cut a hole through the half bath cabinet or I could have the cabinet removed.  Since I was concerned about the mold, I opted to have the cabinet removed.  I scheduled the cabinet removal with a contractor.  James informed me that the leak was extremely slow, and that he would return to repair the leak in the manifold once the cabinet was removed.  I contacted James once the cabinet was removed, and he worked me in to his schedule for next day.  He did the repair which involved cutting and reconfiguring copper pipes and soldering them.  James does excellent work.  He is both professional and personable.  I will be calling Precise Plumbing for all of my future plumbing concerns. <br />"

"I contacted Frank Bajer with a request that he perform repairs of my home’s chimneys, a bay window and the replacement of a door. After visiting my home and reviewing the work to be done, he provided a written estimate of the cost of his services. After beginning the repairs, he found extensive structural damage of the bay window that required him to obtain a city permit. Mr. Bajer submitted and obtained the permit and carried out repairs that required considerably more time and materials than could have been estimated beforehand. His subsequent repairs were well planned, thorough and of the highest standard of craftsmanship. He completed all of the tasks that he agreed to perform at a very fair cost for labor and materials. I find Frank Bajer to be an exceptionally honest, dependable, and knowledgeable craftsman in whom I can give my trust. I will employ him again. He is an honorable man who does exactly what he says he will do in an exemplary fashion."

"RockinP did an excellent job of installing Hardie siding, pressure washing and painting my home. His consistence in completing it in a timing manor having to work around inclement weather was evident. I highly recommend him over Angi’s representative who was assigned to me through your project manager. My meeting with him was disappointing and I recommend Angi reconsidering their rep in Central Texas, specifically Waco. In contrast to his somewhat arrogant and matter-of-fact attitude, which lacked thoroughness, I believe Jayce Payne with RockinP would be a better choice."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Waco, TX

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
