"Our repair technician explained everything that was wrong with our AC. A fix was possible but would only be temporary. He recommended a new unit and quoted a price that was very reasonable. Because our old unit had R22 we needed to replace the condenser coils also. This requires a removal of the furnace 1st. The replacement of our 25 year old furnace seemed sensible. On removal they found that the old furnace became detached from the roof vent. It was venting carbon monoxide into our attic space. This installment could have saved our lives. .
