John C at A Action Appliance showed up in the time window provided, had the problem diagnosed/confirmed in approximately 10 minutes. He had the parts replaced and oven back in running order in less than an hour. He was nice, clearly communicated the problem and confirmed full price of repair before completing. Will use again in the future."

"My Old Range oven controller failed after 26 years. And with no replacement parts available, I was facing a very difficult and expensive replacement prospect for the 40" custom range countertop. I reached out to Neli and quickly got an appointment. We chatted over the phone while Tom was looking at the range. it was so easy and it put my mind at ease, we could fix the beast and be back to baking. Tom sent a follow up email with a link to a tech company that would fix the electronic controller board. He included the specific parts number which turns out was the right one, not the one specified in the manufacturer's online documentation! I shipped the broken parts out. The repaired controller came back just in a few days. The part was installed and range operational before my wife was ready for her morning tea. I hugged the old stove. "The estimator was very knowledgeable and explained his products and services very well.  He provided a detailed plan and estimate.
The installation was done all in one day - including removal of the old counter top and the installation of the new counter top - and it was done on the pre-scheduled day.  Sears was excellent at accommodating our scheduling restrictions.  The new counter top looks nice and we are very happy with the result.
There were a few glitches - the garbage disposal leaked and needed service, and it was tough to get an updated estimate when we made a mid-stream change - but we were still very happy with the result.
Note that the Sears office that we dealt with is in Sharon Hill PA, not in Windsor Mill MA as listed by Angie's List, and the corporate headquarters is in Longwood FL.

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"One oven doesn't work at all ( my choice, see above), the "working" oven was never calibrated properly so using it is hit or miss. It's time to call American Home Shield to see about replacing the entire unit. I'm waiting to finish other home projects before calling them. I don't know if I'll request Greenway again."
