"April 2021 We bought a house last fall and spent our first winter in it. During this time, we could clearly see and feel how uninsulated our windows were. Some original to the build of the house. I would be sitting at my desk working and see my curtains move and constantly feel the cold air on my fingers. It was a no brainer this was going to be our first major home improvement/project for our new house. We talked to two different companies and decided to go with C. Michael Exteriors for several reasons. Our salesperson Gary Langdon did a wonderful job explaining the process of how the windows were manufactured and showing us the very different factors of these windows from other companies. The multiple layers of insulating are a big factor for us. There are a several choices on colour, grides and type of style window you are looking for. We needed to replace seven windows. Two larger windows, converting one from a bay to regular, two basement, and three â normalâ room size. Each window is made to specifically to fit your needs and made here in the USA. Gary assured us the ease of the project from the skilled workers coming to put in the windows. This was a big concern of ours. We wanted to make sure everything was picked up and clean. Gary assured us the workers are very professional and will go through all the workings of the windows with us once completed. He was not wrong! We got a call saying our windows were ready and could they come that week (a few weeks earlier than estimated ). Chance and his crew showed up right on time that day and were all very professional and courteous. Each worker that came had a specific job on each window and this made the process go so fast and smooth. You can tell they have been doing this together a long time. It was flawless and like a â well-oiled machineâ . They were completed with in a few hours. Not days or a whole day, a few hours! The professionalism from Gary and all the skilled workers is definitely a reason to do business with C. Michael Exteriors. We highly recommend for any project that they can accommodate. "Everything went mostly as expected with our roof replacement. 20 sections of plywood sheathing and some rafters were replaced beyond the original estimate but we were told that might need to happen, and the extra cost was specified beforehand. Project was completed in one day despite the extra work. Accidental damage was repaired promptly with care by skilled tradesperson with knowledge on how to do the specific repair. March 24, 2023."

"I never want to spend money on home repairs; but the crawl space area of my basement needed repairs and the competitive estimate and the quality of the finished work made me feel that the money I spend was very well spent. Estimate and evaluation of the problems were done in a professional informative manner. The contract was complete and very detailed. The owner/ supervisor Neil and his crew were professional and respective of me and my property. The work involved both outside foundation work and inside tile work. The proposal made more sense to me than some of the others. ( I had 4 other contractor present plans.) I was pleased with completed work and that the project was completed in a timely manner. I do recommend this company. And, they did go the extra mile. They also installed block window with vents; which are such an improvement over the standard basement windows. Overall, I have noticed an improvement in the basement; walls haven't been wet."

"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Grady?s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Grady's Painting and Plastering & Construction"

"So happy we chose R&D for our exterior wall repairs! they were great to work with throughout the process of what turned out to be a complicated issue. Their communication was really appreciated as they dug into things and problem solved some unique issues with how the previous home owners had cut corners on the house.
