"Everything went very well. Ron has a small team that he works with to complete his jobs. He was on-site nearly every day and completed the majority of the work with Dan, someone who has been working with Ron for nearly 10 years. After they removed the deck, we had siding missing. Dan has many years of experience with siding and did a great job of replacing the missing siding (after matching the old siding color at Home Depot and painting the new siding, it is difficult to distinguish the new siding from the old). Their attention to detail was wonderful. Whenever it came to a design question or how to lay out the pavers, they made sure to check with us before proceeding. They also were careful and proactive in protecting our new driveway, fixing any soil that got damaged by their equipment, and cleaning up after their work. The concrete slab is a beauty. Ron placed large stones on the two sides of the shed base that cut into the hill, and it looks great. This is one of the nicest shed bases I’ve seen. I would work with Ron again – no hesitation! He was punctual, communicated well, and worked closely with us to ensure the patio was what we wanted. After hiring Ron to do this work, I was happy by the uniformly positive feedback I heard from others who have worked with him (e.g., workers at Sensenig's where we purchased the pavers). Although his operation is small (there are no fancy brochures or sweet-talking salespeople), it is nice knowing that you will get the “A-Team” if you hire Ron because he has only 1 team and he is on it. He also does not have much of a web presence as he relies primarily on word of mouth. In total, we paid $33,900 for this work and are happy with this price and our finished product."

"<p>I first searched Angie's List and read several reviews of driveway companies to determine the 'top 3'.  I quickly heard back from both R&W and B&M to setup a date for an estimate.  Magic Seal didn't even return my call for over 4 weeks so apparently they had enough business and helped me narrow down to 2 choices.  Both estimates were very close in $ terms, but I felt more comfortable with the way Kevin described the work, and they had a longer warranty of 3 years.</p> <p>The details...</p> <p>9/30/14  Kevin came to my house, explained their process, asked about my concerns and then took some measurements.  My old driveway had deep ruts from my truck so that was a concern and I also had a large puddle at end of my old driveway which I wanted to avoid.  Kevin explained they like to tear out the old driveway, install and compact crushed stone and drive on it for a couple weeks to make sure it's fully settled before applying asphalt.  He also described how he'd build up towards the end of my driveway to prevent the large rain puddles.  I also wanted my front cement pad trimmed flush and extend the driveway about a foot.  Kevin was patient and described the quality of their work.</p> <p>4/21/15  It was getting too late in the season and I didn't want to chance winter came too soon so I held off until Spring for the old driveway to be dug up and install and compact the crushed stone.  I left work to check in on the progress and by the time I got home, they were almost done.</p> <p>5/11/15  Driveway was checked for grade, compacted and asphalt applied.  I left work to check on progress and they were just finishing by the time I arrived home.  They worked fast but efficient and the driveway looked great, my dad and I were impressed!  I followed their instructions and didn't drive on it for over a week.  Now, 6 months later it still looks great.  There are no depressions from my truck, and I love not having a huge puddle at the end of the driveway.</p> <p>Yes, I waited a while to write a review but this was my first time using Angie's List and it was a good experience.  The quality of the their work will mean I won't be replacing it again for many, many years so until then, I'd recommend R&W to anyone who needs a new driveway!</p> <br />"

"I contacted 6 different companies for quotes and review. I found Shane Armstrong, the owner was very upfront and very knowledgeable. He offered and reviewed different options with me. His two sons work on the crew and his one son Brandon is the Manager of the crew. There were a total of 5 guys working the job. They all were very respectful and professional. Brandon did a great job of multi tasking and and utilizing the entire crew to get the job done. We ran into an issue but Brandon came up with a option that would make it work. It cost more for the fix however, it was worth it. These guys work hard and just kept plugging away. Shane told me it would be a 4-5 day job. They finished in 4 days. Brandon gave me his card and told me to contact him if there were any issues. I am satisfied and feel I made the right choice by choosing Armstrong Waterproofing. They are a family owned company and I truly feel will back up the work they perform. I would highly recommend them. Thanks to Shane and his crew!!"

"Joe and his team completed the project in a timely manner and to our <br /> satisfaction. They were respectful of our home (protecting stairway <br /> carpeting) and even picked up/cleaned up the space at the end of each <br /> work day. They did a very good job overall, especially sanding the <br /> dryall joints - one cannot see seams or uneveness anywhere in the <br /> completed room, either in the closets, the walls or the ceiling where the former <br /> common wall was. We painted it ourselves so we know! Communication was <br /> good, price was reasonable. We'd use them again and recommend them. <br />"

"Everblak did a great job installing a new driveway for us. We had a dirt/gravel driveway before. The excavation went well, without any unexpected damage to the yard. They put down gravel, leveled it, and came back and added more gravel to ensure an adequate base before paving it. The asphalt itself appears well-compacted and graded. Time will tell as far as durability, but everything looks good so far."

"These young men were real workers and really knew their job. Cris not only came promptly to give his estimate, but they both put in 11-hour days when the old floor was jack-hammered out and when the new concrete was poured and shaped. They were neat and careful and had good suggestions--such as a wider and deeper entrance step to the kitchen which is great. They were also very willing to do extra jobs for us (carrying out a cord of firewood from the garage to to the driveway and covering it and removing a basketball pole in the front yard set in concrete.) <br /> On the second day after the floor was put in they came back to seal it and then power-washed the driveway where their equipment had been. We are very pleased with the job and certainly recommend Cris Custom Concrete. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"My storm sewer pipe from my sump broke in my front yard. Craig got the plans from the town showing where the pipes are, called to get the utilities marked, dug up the area of the breakage, and replaced the pipe. Our front garden and some bushes were pretty much destroyed, since the pipe ran underneath them. Nothing that could be done to prevent that, but Craig also took out the remainder of our bushes (deep strong roots) with the backhoe upon our request for nothing extra. My only complaint is that one cleanout from the storm sewer got buried by the backhoe and I can't find where it is anymore, which I didn't notice until well afterwards. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Webster, NY

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
