"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

"I was initially a little unhappy that they couldn't do better than 5 hour window, but I got an automated call just before Jordan M's first visit to let me know he was coming. He diagnosed both situations and told me how much it would cost and when it could be done. I thought the quote, about $850 for the two repairs, was quite high, but signed off on it. He came back four days later. Same 5 hour window, but this time I got an email with an updatable link to his schedule of appointments so I could figure out when he'd probably be here. a very nice touch. Once he got here he went right to work and did everything efficiently and successfully. He was courteous and knew his business, so yes, it was expensive, but that's my only complaint. They seem to be very well-organized."

"Jesse and another came to remove my old hot water heater and replace with a new one. They did and excellent job and were very professional. I even referred my neighbor to them for a plumbing issue and they too were very pleased with the work performed. A day or two after the job, Matt, the owner called to make sure I was happy with the job, which I think was great! I will definitely call on them again for any plumbing concerns/issues in the future! <br />"

"I contacted Costco originally for a quote, as they offer a special service for their members to use their contractors who will provide Lennox equipment installation and services. At the same time, I had talked to Service Experts, not knowing that they were Costco's contractors in this area, about getting a quote for the same service. Doug came out to inspect the current unit as well as the house itself, and at some point, Costco was brought up at which time he told me that they were the Costco guys as well. Perfect, I thought, as it made one less call to make and I could actually see the difference in price since Costco offers a substantial rebate on top of the discounted pricing. I also, as part of my due diligence, called another HVAC group here who quoted me a substantially cheaper unit, but that unit's warranty was nowhere near as extensive or protective as that offered by Costco, nor was the unit they quoted me on nearly as good, according to the research I had done. I wasn't overly thrilled about spending an extra $2000 for the system, but I figured it would be worth the piece of mind. (BTW, I have no regrets about the unit at all at this point) <br /> Between the date of the quote and the date of the install, I emailed Doug with random questions regarding the install specifics, and much to his credit, regardless of when I sent the email, I would have a response back within 20 minutes or so. In fact, Doug even advised me that apparently, I was actually qualified for an extra rebate incentive that Costco was offering based on the install date, so the difference in price between this system and the other guy's dropped from $2000 to $1500. <br /> On the date of install, the installers themselves were right on time. I was advised during the sales process that the actual install would probably take 1-1.5 days, but was pleasantly surprised when they finished by 3:30 that afternoon. I have looked over the units, both inside and outside the house, and am very impressed with how well they placed the units, as the spaces the units fit were going to be very tight to fit them into. I know a little about plumbing and quite a bit about mechanics, so I was thrilled that they actually used the proper materials, which is more than I can say for whichever bozo installed the previous unit. The one thing they did that I was not expecting was to actually put a warning sign over my exhaust ports outside, which had never been done previously, but from a safety perspective, I'm glad they did. <br /> There was one issue that popped up regarding the size unit I could have given my current ducting, but he worked some magic so it actually ended up behooving me moreso in the end. Very satisfied. <br />"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in West Warren, MA

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
