"Before they even arrived it was explained over the phone that given our problem the best best was a water "jetter" which would clear the block and cut any roots and clean the pipe. Mark and Austin arrived (same day, we called in the late morning) and explained what they would do. They backed their trailer up to the back of the house to get a straight shot through the cleanout. A short while after using the tool we could hear the plumbing start to "burp" and knew the line was clear. Mark set up his iPad and they sent a color camera down the line to show us the progress and where the potential issues were. We had roots coming through the clay pipe in the yard but the jetter was able to cut through them. They went all the way out to the main and then inched back showing us the whole way while answering questions we had along the way. A couple stubborn roots took another pass but they made sure the line was completely clear. Since the main cleanout couldn't be located yet it was seen while they used the camera they used a locating tool while at the cleanout to determine it had, in fact, been tiled over by previous homeowner. However we have a location for future use. Both gentlemen were polite, used booties to walk in the home and were patient as we asked tons of questions. Would highly recommend the service!"

"Absolutely superb.  I am a highly knowledgeable individual familiar and accomplished in nearly every building trade.  I am a long-time Nieman customer for this reason: VALUE for the dollar.  No, Nieman won't always be your overall lowest cost option, but if you absolutely want the most professional work done at the lowest price for the highest quality work, go no further. <br /> For this particular job, I was preemptively replacing my 11-year-old tank water heater with a tankless model.  To my friends I'm known as Mr. Research, and consistent with that I had decided upon a Takagi T-H3-DV and requested a quote from Nieman as well as another well-respected contractor.  Once again, Nieman had a slightly better price, but more importantly, unlike the other contractor, they had done a true detailed analysis of what needed to be done to make the installation perfect.  I've worked with Nieman's master plumber Joe Geisler for years and requested he do the work.  To be concise, the work was done quickly and with attention to detail seldom seen these days.   <br /> I am always cautious about praising any provider too much, but Nieman is truly the elite in Cincinnati plumbing. <br /> Further commentary:   <br /> Past work:  When built, my home was plumbed by what I would call an average plumber.  Several problems arose that included an excessively noisy lift station that rocked my bedroom when it cycled.  After Nieman re-plumbed it, it's nearly silent.  They solved other issues as well with the same level of expertise. <br /> Subsequent work:  I have a large home with 2 water heaters.  I had planned on proactively replacing the 2nd unit when one month after they installed the tankless unit, the second unit failed.  I worked closely with Brian Nieman in selecting a tank unit (a better option for this situation) and once again, Nieman quickly and expertly installed my selection. <br />"
