"Unlike other people who dealt with CASTLE I had no issues with the salesman. In fact he was very professional and not pushy at all (Mike out of their Mt.Laurel NJ office). He did give me a very high initial price of about $7500 and went down from there to about $5200 but we decided not to go with them because the price was still too high. About a month later I received a call from CASTLE who offered to drop the price down to $4200. Thought about it for a while and decided to have them install 9 double hung windows. It took them a while to get the formalities with the association resolved. Once they showed up to install it only took them about 3 hours and they left no mess. <br /> <br /> About 2 weeks after installation I noticed that they actually cracked the frame of the two double windows during installation by sinking the screw in the bottom left corner of each window too far. Also, the glass appears to be much colder than I expected, actually it feels exactly the same as on my old 21 year old windows and on windy days there is a noticeable draft coming from left and right sides of each window where upper and lower sashes meet....basicly coming from the groove in which both sashes ride. I called CASTLE and they promptly sent out a service person who caulked the cracked corners of the damaged windows. He said there is nothing that they can do about the draft as the sashes have to ride in the grove and that every window will experience a similar draft on windy days. I don't think I buy it since there is a seal there that should prevent any drafts. About the cold glass...he said glass with argon gas will only mitigate about a 20-30 degree difference from outside to inside so it can feel really cold somethimes. I personally will try to get a hold of a heat lamp and test the glass in each window. I wonder if there isn't enough argon between the panes of glass and/or if they just created a vacuum and there is no argon. <br /> <br /> Bottom Line: <br /> The windows do not seem as high quality as CASTLE says they are (i.e.: drafts and cold glass). <br /> The new windows did not make a noticeable difference in terms of keeping the cold out. <br /> I will call CASTLE again to revisit the draft issue and I'll see how I can test the glass of each window"
