"I needed the Defrost system assembly replaced in my refrigerator. I called around and I couldn’t afford the prices or just couldn’t get someone to come do it. A friend from Framingham recommended Horizon Appliance Solutions but said they only work in the Ashland area and I live in Boston. A gentleman answered my call was very polite. I explained my situation and the difficulties I’m having finding someone to do the work. He reassured me that someone will come see the job by the end of that same day. They came same day, did the work and charged less than 3 other quotes I received. I cannot thank them enough. In difficult times so good to know there still are good people. "Highly recommend HUB Appliance for their knowledge, value, and customer service! I was referred to them by a reputable plumbing company, and their prices were fair (actually cheaper than the first company who came out to take a look). I could tell from the first conversation with Karen who answers their phones and coordinates service that they were a cut above since she had a good amount of knowledge herself as to what the problem did/didn't involve and who would have the right expertise to send on site for our washing machine problem. Tom first came out and was very knowledgeable, took the time to show me what tests he ran, explain the probability of what the issues/options could be and approximate cost to fix them. He answered all of my questions and took the time to offer opinions if we needed to buy a new dryer what would be best for our needs (e.g. pros and cons of front- vs. top-loaders, different brands, etc.). Our machine ended up having a pretty complex problem that would disappear and then reappear, so it took multiple trips that were all scheduled quickly and arrived on time with professional (and COVID-appropriate) interactions. The owner Al himself ended up working on our problem and ultimately diagnosing it, which unfortunately meant needing a new computer board so he recommended for the cost of that part and repair to just buy a new machine -- so great to have honesty and our best interest in mind! They even issued a refund for part they ordered and labor to install it since they weren't able to fix the problem in the end (a VERY rare case). This is what really put me over the top that they are an honest company with excellent customer service! Cannot recommend them enough. :)"

"The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"Had a spill that rendered my microwave unusable (power surge). I called the manufacturer and they would take 5d to come and evaluate the issue for a set fee. If I decided to use them the service fee was not counted toward the repair. Found TheJetFix on-line and called. They were out within 1d, diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts. The repair could not be completed as there was additional damage. They ordered another part and ultimately fixed the issue. This was important to me as I did not want to get rid of a perfectly good appliance and add to the ever growing landfills. Also, a new unit would have cost me more that 2x the repair (Thermador microwave). Arthur and John were great. Both courteous and professional and passed whatever savings they could on to me. Cannot say enough about this service. You will not be disappointed if you hire them. By the way, their service fee was counted toward my repair! Good business practice!"
