"Great. They called immediately and were available to send someone the next day. The technician came, gave a quote, and replaced the spring in about a half hour."

"Garage door screens installed July, 2025. One of the lower panels is coming loose and needs to be repaired. For the last 3 weeks I have called and left messages, texted messages and emailed messages. No return calls, answers, acknowledgement, etc. Very poor after sales service. "

"There are not enough stars to give Top Service Garage. They are fantastic! Bobby came over the same afternoon I reached out to him to assess my issues. He gave me a detailed estimate for my repairs and repaired my door that following Monday. Bobby is such a professional, very courteous and such a gentleman to deal with. My garage door is now in perfect condition and to just know that should I have any further issues, I know to call Top Service Garage. Thank you, Bobby, for everything. Youa re the best!"

"I thought it was a little high priced, but he did come when he said he would and the door is fixed. James, the tech was friendly and professional, and as a result I would hire them again if I needed door repair."

FAQs for garage door opener repair or adjustment projects in West Palm Beach, FL

Garage door costs range somewhat broadly, depending on the type you choose. However, you’ll also need to factor in labor costs, which vary from state to state and between pros.

A chain driven operator costs between $150 - $250. For a belt driven operator it is usually $160 - $450. A screw-driven operator is between $250-$500.

To keep garage door opener repair costs down, you should check that the whole apparatus is working normally on a regular basis. This means making sure that the tracks of your door are greased and fully operational, and that the door itself is in good condition.

Installing a new garage door opener runs from $250 to $500 at least. If your repair costs are close in cost to that range or if your garage door is 10 to 15 years old, you should probably replace it instead of repair.

However, it’s a better idea to fix your garage door opener if it’s less than eight years old or if repair costs are less than replacing.

Garage door openers usually last between 10 and 15 years. However, several factors contribute to how long your garage door opener can last. If you schedule regular inspections and practice proper care, you can maximize your garage door opener’s lifespan, saving money in the long run. As a general rule, practice the same care for your garage door opener as you would the door itself.

These tell-tale signs indicate your garage door is going bad, including:

  • Not closing or opening at all

  • The door reversing when you try to open and/or close it

  • Inconsistent opening and closing; more noise than usual (grinding, scraping, or banging)

  • Sticking or stalling when you try to open or close it

If you experience one or more of these signs, it’s time to call a professional garage door repair service.
