"It went wonderful!  You hear horror stories about these types of projects, and this couldn't have been smoother. Bob, Dave and Jim are great to work with and have in your house.  The project was completed in the 2 month time frame we were given, even with us adding multiple things to the project (more painting, new doors, etc.). <br />  They did all the heavy lifting, and moved things around as needed.  Bob emailed us every weekend with a "where we are now, what is scheduled for next week, and what we needed to pack/move".    Things changed as items were available early, or needed to be rescheduled, and it was always a smooth transition. <br /> We have a couple of outstanding items that will be done in a couple weeks once they arrive, but that was due to us adding them to the project towards the end. <br /> They stayed within their original estimate.  The price of the overall project did increase, but that was due to our adding items, or selecting things that were above the estimate allowance.  In cases where we were below the allowance, the estimate decreased. <br /> Any issues/questions that came up were discussed and we were given multiple options/recommendations to choose from.  They scheduled the plumber, electrician, cabinet delivery, etc., and things would just magically show up when needed.  Anything that was incorrect (i.e. wrong faucet was ordered by the vendor), was rectified quickly.  Any questions we had were answered quickly, any changes we wanted were met with enthusiasm and with options as to how we wanted them accomplished. <br /> We have asked them to do an estimate for a couple of other projects, and plan to use them again when the time comes."

"We have used Abe for other jobs. We have an old home so all of the work we have done is basically repair or remodeling. He is able to make everything come out perfect, even in an old house with crooked walls, floors, etc. There are no gaps or imperfections in his work. When he is done everything is matched up exactly and you would never know any work had been done, it just looks great! <br /> He is the most punctual contractor I have ever hired. He arrives and finishes when he says he will. His estimates are fair and accurate and he will tell you up front if he anticipates there could be a deviation from the initial estimate due to something unknown when the estimate is given. Example: he removes the damaged surface and finds there is extensive damage underneath that he could not see beforehand. I've found him to be totally honest, reliable and fair in every way. He is also polite and respectful to his customers. <br /> One thing I've always hated about having work done is the horrible mess that is made in your home and living space while the work is being done, and the messes the contractors leave behind. This has never been an issue with Abe. He sets things up so the mess is contained as much as possible. He cleans as he goes and at the end of the day he cleans the area well. I have never had to clean up after him. <br /> As for how did it go? It went perfectly. I was amazed at the extent of the job and how much detail it involved. He matches everything up exactly so there are no gaps anywhere. I frequently see work that has been done on people's homes, by other contractors, and it looks good at a distance but if you get up close you will see a visible gap between the floor and wall or in the corners where two boards meet. It looks like a puzzle where the pieces don't connect tightly. Everything Abe does is flush, matches perfectly, is aligned and has no gaps or flaws. I don't know how he does it so well. I believe that this is easier to achieve when you are building or making something from scratch, such as new construction. However, going into an old home where things are settled and crooked and already there, and being able to repair and rebuild and make it all match and fit together flawlessly is quite a skill. Abe is detail oriented and precise in every way. <br /> I highly recommend him if you want a professional job done for a reasonable price."
