"They did a GREAT job! They first ran into permit problems in Brookline, but Rich (?) was able to fix that and didn't charge me extra. Then on the day of the work, they showed up and worked through to the next day and removed the whole chimney from the inside without making a dent in the house. I was MOST impressed with this as I have 2 small children so dust is a big deal to me. Since they are so prompt and efficiently, i was able to coordinate with my roofer to come in on the same day to seal up the roof. At the end of the day, you couldn't even tell that someone had removed a chimney just minutes before. Highly recommended! <br />"

Everything was clearly explained beforehand, with an eye on keeping costs under control while not compromising the necessary quality of the job. I was made aware of possible unforeseen complications that could arise once the work started, but none of these happened and there were no additions or overages to the price quoted. Once the work began they finished promptly on schedule and cleaned up as soon as possible. The owner, Loiue Ranieri, is terrific guy, friendly and easy to work with. In fact, he kindly did a couple of minor non-chimney house repairs for me at no cost. We’d been referred to Ranieri by a carpenter who’d recommended them, and we’re very glad he did. He was courteous, honest and professional and indicated that my roof was not as old as we thought and that I would not need a new roof at present. Our town records showed a old permit for a roof replacement, however it was obvious to him that a replacement was done more recently. I was prepared to replace the roof as part of a real estate sale. I really appreciated that he came out and provided an honest evaluation! While I did not use Matt's company's services, I would consider them for future work for roofing and/remodeling! Alan finished the project reasonably on-time an on budget, despite some significant potential cost overruns. <br /> On a side note, the project involved some challenging zoning issues. It was an amazing bonus that Alan was able to cantilever the addition by several feet on two sides of the home.
