"I have a Norco double pane window installed in 2003 where the inside pane suddenly shattered. I contacted several companies and chose Victory Window Plus to perform the repair. Victor can out the next day and removed the broken sash and sealed up the opening. Victor returned as promised within 48 hours with the repaired sash and re-installed it. Victor did a great job as the sash is a good as new. I would recommend Victory Plus if anybody finds themselves with this type of repair need Thanks "

"Oh, boy--Erick (and Tom, his guy) have done work for me on my 100-yr. old home, for over a decade! First job -- Erick alone--built a gorgeous deck...neighbors couldn't stay away. ...still getting compliments. Last two big jobs-- redid garage and installed electric doors, and custom tiled a bath everyone else wanted to "demo". . In-between took care of several other problems as they came up. Ask them for my phone number and I will tell you more. Absolutely nobody compares in terms of ease of communication, (and creativity) so you actually get what you want, or better."

"Had Frank install entry door and storm door. Although I thought it was a high estimate, I hired him. I was not disappointed. High quality workmanship, clean and trustworthy as I could not be at home that day. Very happy."

"Update 6/19: The work they've done on the stairs looks good, and they've taken the trouble of repairing a structure that was only meant to be cleaned and repainted. Original: Right now, it's 2.5 because it's too soon to tell how well they will do in relation to the price I was quoted. I will take into account that this is summer, and their services are in demand. I asked this company if they could handle the installation of an exterior door and medicine cabinet in addition to cleaning and repainting several sets of stairs - one approximately six foot, three approximately three foot - and a ground-level wood deck. The person I met, Paul, mentioned that their company uses another bell curve - RS Means, if I've got this right - to determine how to charge their customers. The total cost for this group of projects is on the high end of HomeAdvisor's bell curve of costs for my area. I have already signed the contract, and I will honor the price, but for those who come after me, I suggest checking the bell curve on HomeAdvisor before agreeing to use this company."

"Ed and Bob were incredibly detail oriented from design to implementation. Very high quality solution done in a short time period - worked within the confines of my very old home and did the work with lots of care not to disturb existing structure. Extremely professional work (end of day tools kept neatly, no trash, very organized job) and clean. Highly recommend for french drain or basement drain systems."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Weymouth, MA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
