"Ted & son Casey & crew are the best in area.I requested 3 estimates from local builders. Ted arrived in the rain on weekend ready to measure pool. His enthusiasm continued through completion of project. On a 90 + humid day you could see him in dirt working with crew. I come from a pool & patio background and knew what to look & ask for when building a pool. First -you find the BEST mason in the business= Ted. Second- you find BEST Bobcat operator in business= his son Casey. You need a careful & conscientious person to back fill around your pool and repair your landscape. Casey not only made our yard look great -he also added tons of rock they removed from our yard and added to and lined the creek next to us to prevent erosion. Third- you hope you get a professional & courteous crew- they left yard spotless and treated us and our property with respect. I had ideas for perfect filtration system and Ted filled the order =variable speed pump /cartridge filters / Delta UV filter / Nature 2 auto feed to control algae. We added an auto pool robot for cleaning pool. It is close to drinking water purity and stayed sparkling clean all season. We extended the time in our pool by adding a gas heater-we swam from April to Nov. We had a safety cover installed for winter and had Ted close & open our pool each season. Things Riverwood Pools does above all others= 2" plumbing when all others are smaller/ 4 return jets -when most use only 3 / construct steps & benches in pool solid concrete not fiberglass. Ted will tint concrete to match railing-we had beige rails & ladder-he matched concrete same color-for small add on $$.We also added Limestone coping around pool and a 50' retaining wall. Ted gave us a start & finish date-contingent on Mother Nature. We had few severe weather alerts during construction that put completion date back a few weeks. Ted added a concrete walkway leading to limestone steps- and did not add onto final bill. You won't find that with any other builder! He also installed drain to creek so pool would drain in severe rainstorms. We appreciated all Ted-Casey & crew did for us-in fact we asked him to double the width of our driveway in off season (late Nov.) while we were on vacation. He completed (during cold-rainy week) the job in 10 days. We arrived home to double wide driveway. as I stated earlier-I've been in Pool business for years & it's the hidden things you have to look for before hiring a pool company. We are very pleased with Riverwood Pools work and and realize how fortunate we were to have them construct our pool. Give Ted a call-he'll get back to you as soon as he can."

"I considered both fiberglass and gunnite pools.  I could not get the pool size I wanted with an automatic cover in the fiberglass so decided to go with gunnite.  After interviewing 3 companies, I went with Castlerock based on both price and the company representative, Bill Belser.  Bill was helpful, not only during the installation process but also afterwards.  This was my first pool experience and Bill was very responsive to my questions and most often, came out to walk me through various processes in pool maintenance.   I am enjoying the pool immensely and have had no problems with it. I would recommend Castlerock without reservations.

"We look for 3 things in a contractor: 1. Show up when you say you will 2. Do quality work 3. Charge a fair price. Simple as that sounds, we had a hard time finding these in a contractor…until we found Mark and Ken Yarbrough and Action TN. They let us know when they’re coming, show up when they say they will, work a full day while here, do outstanding work, and their prices are competitive.  I wish we found Action years ago.  We are already planning to use them on two more projects."

FAQs for swimming pool in ground build or installation projects in White House, TN

Yes, it is possible to build an above-ground infinity or zero-edge pool by raising the deck and surrounding poolscape to create a continuous water edge. This design produces a zero-edge effect when the pool structure is properly elevated. However, additional work to adjust the deck and haul extra dirt can increase labor and land preparation costs.

An infinity pool incurs higher expenses than a regular pool because its specialized design and engineered features demand extra materials and precise construction methods. The design modifications required for a true endless edge raise the overall cost by 20% to 50%. This increase reflects additional structural planning, enhanced finishes, and superior craftsmanship.

An infinity pool is designed with at least one edge over which water flows, creating the appearance of a vanishing edge that seamlessly merges with the surrounding landscape or horizon. The pool has an exposed wall that is slightly lower than the water level, allowing water to spill over into a catch basin below, where it is recirculated back into the pool.

Infinity pool construction requires a significant and defined time commitment. Concrete installations are completed within three to six months, vinyl projects within four to eight weeks, and fiberglass pool installations within two to four weeks. The overall timeline depends on the design complexity and the skill level of the contractor, with challenging conditions extending the project duration.

Infinity pools require additional maintenance compared to regular pools because their unique design requires constant water level monitoring to preserve the continuous overflow effect. The catch basin must be diligently cleaned to prevent debris accumulation, and the maintenance routine varies with pool materials—concrete surfaces need extra care to prevent algae growth, while fiberglass and vinyl demand less upkeep.
