"Just everything about Tennessee Radon Services impressed me. The quick communication right from the start was convenient. The next day estimate appointment was a surprise and then two days later it was done. And the mitigation system we got is totally top of the line. Whisper quiet and high gauge pvc. And for the bottom of the estimate range too. Stop searching for your Radon mitigation service. These guys are the real deal."

"The Radon Guys saved the day and the sale of my house! The existing mitigation system (from another company) was installed incorrectly which was discovered during a home inspection and testing. From re-testing, to diagnostics, to repairs and post testing, the Radon Guys were a pleasure to work with. Devin , Nick, and Chris are knowledgeable, professional, and understood the urgency with a very tight deadline to close. The repairs were completed with minimal disruption or cosmetic surface damage and I was kept informed of every step. The area was cleaned after the work was completed. As we had already vacated the home, I was immediately notified of the passing score and the report was received shortly after. The closing was able to proceed without delays. If you need radon testing or mitigation, save yourself the headaches and just use The Radon Guys. You won't be sorry!"

"I hired Mr. John Wheeler for my new-purchase property general inspection including Radon Testing. He offered a very competitive price with flexible schedule. He spent 4 hours on a 3700 sqf house and gave report at the midnight of the same day of inspection. The report contained over 70 pages with all the details and pictures. At the end, he pointed out few important things in verbal during inspection and written in the report to give buyer a chance to negotiate with the seller. I highly recommend him as your home inspector for new purchase."

"Mr. Coffee is a hero who risks his health daily to help mitigate dangerous radon problems for strangers who call for help. This is a dangerous job with daily high radon exposure and when I asked, he said he is aware of the risks but gets his health scanned multiple times a year. I called Covenant Air back in December after noticing that my Safety Siren Pro radon detector kept reaching alarm. Mr. Coffee came out and assessed that I could probably fix the problem myself by sealing some obvious cracks, especially around some pipes, and recommended the products so that I can do it cheap DIY. He was obviously not pushy to scare people into signing contracts, but actually tried to dissuade me from hiring him right off on installing sub slab depressurization. Although the DYI route he recommended would've been cheaper, I hired him to performs the job. The sealing did bring the radon level down where my detector's alarm didn't go off, but I wanted to lower it as much as possible. He then recommended a passive ventilation route given my reading. The passive ventilation again slashed the radon level in half, but I wanted the radon level down even further, so I ultimately opted to install the fan after weeks of data collection and analysis. He installed the fan so that I could easily turn it off to save energy based on seasonal variations. He is a very personable and methodical person, and prefers to monitor the progress of his work so that his customers don't hastily incur unnecessary cost. You almost never see someone like that in the service industry, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

"Aaron is our hands down favorite home inspector we have ever worked with. Before he moved to Tennessee he was one of the most popular inspectors in our region due to his professionalism and no nonsense way of delivering the information about what's going on with the property he inspected. He always does a great job at catching the issues with the homes, big and small. There is often an explanation of the concerns so the client can understand better what it is and how to prevent it from happening in the future. He has the heart of a teacher and that sets him apart from other home inspectors we have worked with. That teaching also allows his client to better understand the condition and what it means to them so they can make a good decision based on real world information. I have never seen him report anything as big and scary unless it is. Our loss is your gain, give Aaron a shot and you will want to use him for all your inspections. I am the Designated Broker / Owner of Martin Real Estate Group. My agents and I have referred Aaron to our clients too many times to count and he always delivered. We expect an inspector to be very thorough as well as getting through the task in a timely manner. We also expect all issues and concerns to be found and the client to be informed of them without blowing them out of proportion so the client can decide the best way for them personally to proceed. Everyone is different and has a different level of comfort in what they are ok with. As long as they have the information they are able to make a good decision for them. If Aaron ever moves back here he will be at the top of our referral list again right away."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in White House, TN

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
