I can't say enough about working with MakHome Renovations... they have been amazing to work with and I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anybody looking to do remodeling work on their home. I would give them 6 stars if I could. The scope of the work for me is that I'm getting 2 bathroom remodels done. Both bathrooms were taken down all the way to the studs. I'm going to post photos when I get a chance to. Right from the start, I found Art tremendously responsive and great at working with over the phone, text, and e-mails. Meeting with Art and his father, they were always on time and easy to communicate. Without exception, there was no contractor more responsive than Art that I've contacted. Art and his father could not be easier to work with. Throughout the process, they were very willing to work with me on adjustments to the remodeling plans. Believe me, once you rip out the sheetrock and look behind the walls, you'll have to make adjustments. They do not complain and work hard to make sure you are satisfied. Also all of their individual workers were responsible, trustworthy, and easy to deal with. Art works very hard to accommodate your schedule. If you need him to buy things, he'll take care of it. If you can only meet him in the mornings or the evenings, he'll work around your schedule. Lastly, the quality of work was great. they have a very great eye for making sure all the tile is laid down correctly, were meticulous about the installation of hardware, vanities, mirrors, lights, etc... "The work was excellent. I like the final outcome. You need to find out if he's overextended or how many jobs he's involved in at the time. We started the project in May and it should have taken six to eight weeks and we just finished it at the end of September. There were some glitches along the way that were probably out of his control, but a lot of it was more that he was overextended. The quality was good. I would maybe use them in the future. The work was good, but we would really have to negotiate what was going on and the time window and stuff like that. We wouldn't do this again. I would consider it."

"My initial contact was with Mark in late August or early September. We had arranged to meet and discuss the work that I wanted performed (pointing up the mortar on the brick chimney and under the windows on the front of the house). There were scheduling problems (for both parties) after one or two attempts and I was later contacted by Josh, who finally came out to my house in mid September to look at the job. I was impressed with Josh's knowledge, enthusiasm, and answers to my questions.
After discussing the scope of work to be performed, Josh assured me that someone would get back to me within a week with an estimate so we could schedule the job over the winter months. After a week went by, I called to see of they were working on an estimate and was assured that they "hadn't forgotten about me". After another 2 or 3 weeks, I called both Mark and Josh and left a message to see what was up as far as the estimate and scheduling.
It is now the second week in December and still I've heard nothing. I like these guys and I would like to have them perform the work, but at this point, I don't know if they are too busy or just don't want to do the work because it is not a big job. If that is the case, it would help if they would just tell me so. I hate to look elsewhere, but communication is an issue here so I may have to give up on these guys. Too bad.
I rated them as a "C" overall, with a "D" for responsiveness (or lack thereof) offset by a "B" in punctuality and professionalism
