"They came and gave me a bid for repair which according to angi.com was above the high end of for this type of repair. I needed it done quickly so I okayed the repair. I never received a written estimate or work repair order. I was told that his wife does that on Sundays and I would receive it via email. I still have not received it. The work was done and the garage door is working, but I feel as though I could have had it done cheaper and with written paperwork and a warranty. I have a standard garage door and the repair cost me $350.00 plus tax."

"Our garage door has been acting up and today it refused to close without holding the button down. The sensor was obviously acting up. Spenser came an hour after we talked on the phone. He quickly worked with the sensor getting it to work again. He explained that at our opener was past its average lifespan, but that it might work another ten years. He told us we could replace it now or keep playing with the sensor and hope that it will last. He never pushed us to replace the unit but clearly laid out the options. We decided to keep the opener for now and continue to work with it. Before leaving Spenser cleaned, oiled, and adjusted the unit so it is now working at top efficiency. It is much quieter than before. We will definitely be calling Legacy when it becomes time to replace the opener. We could not have asked for better service."

I love the fact that they open and close with a single light touch of the remote, even from a block away from my house. I love the fact that the doors were installed expertly in about 3 hours. Several neighbors have come by to talk, and nearly always they compliment me on the new doors. We have 3 garage bays, and the openings are 16x7 and 8x7. Since my house faces directly south, and while in the winter the sun is great for melting snow off my driveway, in summer the garage becomes unbearably hot from constant baking in the sun. For this reason I selected doors with a higher-than-usual amount of insulation, and also darkened windows across the tops to allow more light into the garage without so much heat. The windows transform the whole interior space, from a cave-like dark hole into a pleasant place to work. New garage door openers do a lot more today than the old units ever could. I recommend that you talk to Haney about what a new opener can do for you. After the installation, I kept the panels of the old doors, and all the hardware from the old opener. I sold everything rather easily, which together made a significant discount from the new doors' overall installed cost. The garage door business is a competitive one, so I don't think you need to get a dozen estimates to make a good choice. Much more important is being comfortable with the people you are dealing with.
