In fact, he talked me OUT of having any actual work done by showing me simple fixes to problems that have been plaguing me for quite some time. Frequent trips on dining room circuit were due to too many incandescent bulbs. Flickering lights in another chandelier were due to a loose connection. A "rewiring" problem was fixed by simply plugging something into a different (less vulnerable/loaded) outlet. There were some other things he showed me as well, but the approach was the same: incredible troubleshooting to find the lowest/no-cost solution. Malvern did all this without making me feel like an idiot, which would have been appropriate given that "user error" was the closest thing to a common denominator across these varied issues.
