"Tina Hawk came out for the estimate. They charge for labor and the customer buys the supplies. Tina drove us to the tile store and we selected and purchased our tile. Tony Hawk installed the tile. He had to remove the old first. Our entry way is roughly 4 feet by 15 feet. Tina suggested we rim the tile for a finished look. That was a good idea because the new tile was just a hair higher than the old. The rim gives it a nice finish. Tony used matching caulk to finish the edge and you can barely tell it wasn't the original flooring.

"I was extremely pleased with the job that Jerry Ward and his crew did for me. When my house was built my kitchen tile was installed directly on plywood so tiles were popping up and cracking. They removed the floor and installed the correct subfloor prior to installing all new porcelain tile. My tile job is beautiful. This is my second job using Jerry - he replaced my kitchen countertops about 2 years ago. I would not hesitate to hire him again in the future. Great job - I love it!"

"TRU Marble recently completed a project installing new granite countertops in our kitchen.  Victor was very prompt, courteous and professional throughout the project.  He was always available to answer any questions we had and guided us through the various steps and procedures during the project.  Victor also made sure we were informed of all the different options available to us.
We were impressed with Victor's crew members Antonio and Daniel as well.  They worked very hard and made every effort to protect our home while they worked.  They also did a good job of cleaning up after the project was completed.
We were so pleased with the new kitchen countertops that we hired the TRU Marble team to install a new granite surround for our fireplace as well.  We would definitely recommend TRU Marble to anyone considering new stone, marble or granite projects in their home.

"Dewayne is still working on the project.  A very professional and prompt contractor.  I have dealt with contractors in the past that never completed the job on the dates promised.  This was not the case.  He showed up when he said he would and worked throughout the entire day.  Right now I'm waiting for my new cabinets to come in before he can continue the project.

"The projects were completed quickly and efficiently. In the past, Crew found a source of a roof leak, repaired extensive ceiling cracks and nail pops, and helped prepare our last house for sale. I would use their staff for almost any home repairs."

"Jesus and his crew had extraordinary work ethic. We remodeled our kitchen and they did EVERYTHING except for the painting and wallpapering. The did the tile, counter tops, backsplash, and any installations. They seem to do it all! If Jesus couldn't do something, he would bring someone from the crew that could. They worked diligently until the job was done and cleaned up well before they left. I was definitely impressed and am very grateful to have come across him. We stay in touch even 3 years later."

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Wingate, IN

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
