"Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.

"MHI repainted my house in the fall of 2016. They initially did a sloppy job while going 40% over the initial estimate. But in October 2019 they came back out to fix some problems with the earlier work and to perform some additional work at a very reasonable cost. The crew that originally painted my house is no longer with the company. Bill's crew performed the work this year, and did a much better job. Bill will have a prominent role in MHI going forward, so I am confident they will be a very different company than the one I dealt with in 2016. I'll likely have Bill's crew repaint the interior of my house when this is done in a month or so. While I gave the 2016 MHI poor grades, Bill earned all A's."

Example: he’s was here when the pipes froze in our MIL apartment ( we were on vacation) and he stepped in to repair the pipes for us immediately so my 90yo mom wouldn’t be inconvenienced. Another time our dog locked herself in my bedroom and thank goodness Gary was here to get her out! I appreciated that Gary did almost all of the work himself so we didn’t have multiple subcontractors in our house during the pandemic. "These guys were great. Fred came out and gave me the quote. He was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. I had other roofers that looked and couldn't tell where the leak was. His son and another man showed up to start the work. They removed my siding and shingles very carefully so it could all be reused after the repair. Then, Fred and the other guy showed up the following morning to complete the job. The picked up all the garbage and you could barely tell they were there.
I would definitely recommend Fred for any roofing work. I just may need him again when I buy my next house.
