"Kassi scheduled our work very promptly and another staff member followed up on the details. Everything went smoothly on the day, and took less time than I expected. John was friendly and efficient -- taking care of business in short order. Replacing the light fixtures by our front door was a little tricky re: the cedar siding, but he effortlessly adapted the installation to the situation. Perfect! The old wooden post mailbox was rotted and barely standing...he took it all away, dug a deep new hole and installed the steel post, using quick setting concrete, and fitted the new mailbox. He even scalped some sod to leave on top... When John was finished, you would have thought the mailbox had always been there. I plan on calling on Mr. Handyman, and John, in the future."

"The job went very well and looked better than I imagined. I had a traditional pressure treated deck that was built 25 years ago. Maintenance was a nightmare to the point I stained the deck a solid color. This needed to be freshened up every couple of years. I tired of doing this chore so I contacted several contractors. Those contacted were not very enthusiastic and submitted extremely high bids without explaining exactly what materials they were using or a plan of attack. Brian of Carls Decking came with samples, brochures and a no nonsense explanation of what needed to be done to put me” in my happy place.” Brian inspected the frame and found it to still be level and in good shape. He suggested a total rip off of the planks and replacement of steps deck boards and railings. He even obtained the railing permit and made sure final inspection was handled. Pricing to do this type of renovation is not cheap but the final result was worth every penny! The crew that Brian sent over did an amazing job! The premises was cleaned up everyday when they left and all work was done in a very professional manner. I recommend Carl’s Decking very highly."

"I cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality of work. When Don first visited the house, we gave him an idea of what we would like done. He came back to us with a plan that was far better than we could have ever imagined. We were very impressed with how quickly he came up with a design for our yard. We also appreciated his flexibility and responsiveness as we changed our mind a few times before the process started, and he was quick to get back to us with an adjusted plan. "I don't want this to seem like a negative review because their work and reviews speak for themselves. I am unable to provide an accurate review due to the limitations of the company's ability to do work within condo/apartment buildings. I can't blame them but their insurance company doesn't cover them. So, I guess this is more of a FYI. I am sure this is a great company to partner with for home projects. In our building next to Penn Station is a converted loft that used to be a button factory. Each unit has exposed brick, exposed beam, and exposed duct work which is rare for this area. These are deemed as New York-style lofts. There are 17 units in our building and all are individually owned. There are 14/17 units that are owner-occupied and everyone has their own contractors coming in pretty consistently to upgrade or make changes to their units. It's unfortunate and we looked forward to working with this company. I wish this company continued success and a great 2021. Sorry that your insurance providers wouldn't allow you to work with condo buildings."

Tito and his crew were able to establish the permit in three weeks - we waited on this same permit application for almost 9 months with another company without the result we wanted Tito kept me updated, informed, and every step of the project he let me know what was going on in my backyard His crew could not have been nicer or more hard working. I swear they were out there In 100 degree heat. The back porch that they completed surpassed all of our expectations and more. I had so many questions all the time and Tito was patient, explanatory, and courteous We now have the back porch we have been hoping for and can enjoy the rest of summer and all of the seasons to come in this house thanks to them! "Words cannot describe how well these guys did and everything they worked with us on. We had several small jobs and deck work. They painted our high vaulted walls and ceilings. They fixed our shower plumbing and added an acces panel for the shower. They installed a new ceiling fan. They re-faced our rotted deck and replaced several joists. Replaced both sets of stairs and set them in concrete. Amazing woodworking, professionalism, punctual, truly good people that you can actually trust. All work was done in a very timely fashion. We will definitely hire again for various projects around the house."

"Mike went beyond his service. He replaced my concrete patio and place it with paver tile stone. He paint my bathroom and put up new light fixtures and fixed my wood kitchen floor. He built a beautiful deck. Very nice experience working with Mike. Not disappointed at all. Very nice man"
