"After visiting several design and build companies for the construction
of our patio, we decided to go with Mike and First Impressions.  Our
backyard sloped dramatically across the rear of the house.  Other
companies seemed to want to bring in fill material to raise lower
sections.  Mike suggested that we use the slope and dig in more than one
terrace connected by paver stairs.  Mike was very patient with us in
choosing our pavers and tweaking the design.  He worked with us to
incorporate all of the features we wanted and maintain our sightlines of
the US Capitol.
When the crew arrived, I was amazed.  They brought 12-15 guys that
worked together through sweltering heat from 7AM to after 6PM everyday
for six days to get it done.  The work is beautiful and we'll be
enjoying our patio all year (thanks to the fire pit) and for many

"Removed old concrete patio: This was an old 1963-era concrete slab. Massive. Mike & his team brought in jackhammers and made quick work of it. Waterproofing: Removing the old slab revealed a damaged (and possibly leaking) portion of the house wall, which Mike's team repaired well. Replaced with new patio: Mike's team poured a new cement layer, then installed a new flagstone patio surface on top of that. Also a new step (concrete with flagstone exterior) at the door threshold. They also re-installed an iron railing which had been part of the original patio configuration. The job went well in all respects. We're happy with the team's work and with the new patio. I've worked with Mike and Diversified Contractors several times now. Each time, Mike has had good ideas & suggestions. Each time, his team has demonstrated excellent skills. Again, I'm looking forward to our next project."

"Wow! Let me start by saying I had several contractors come by to give me estimates on fixing some major concerns I’ve had in my yard for quite a while. I needed a professional who could complete everything I needed at a reasonable price. Well, Mr Julio Escobar (ET General Contractor Inc) was able to accommodate everything I needed done. He listened to everything I needed and provided excellent suggestions as to the right approach to do the job. This entailed re-sloping my backyard to direct water away from my house foundation and installing a drainage system in my backyard. My backyard was a barren wasteland that needed quite a bit of work. I had barely any grass on one side with many trees that I wanted removed in order to get more sunlight and allow grass to grow. Julio’s crew did an amazing job (cut down trees, removed all branch/log debris and grinded/ground the stumps down to the roots). His crew planted 29 Japanese Cedar trees along my fence line. My appreciation goes out to Julio Escobar for working with the nursery to get me all Japanese Cedars instead of the Leyland Cypress trees. Exactly what I wanted all along. God Bless you! He and his crew trucked in tons of river rock to lay around my pool and along the foundation in the back of the house and then laid, I forget how many, rolls of sod. These guys worked hard and in the worst heat of the summer. Lastly, but definitely not least he and his crew brought in clean topsoil and organic compost, grass seed, and fertilizer to cover my front yard (that also was a wasteland). After that he aerated the area and laid sod on the sides of my driveway so that there would be no run off when it rained. I can’t express enough how professional, courteous, and attentive Mr Escobar and his entire crew were throughout the entire job. I would definitely use them again for future projects. God Bless them for their hard work and strong work ethic!"

"We are delighted with the work Robert Construction did for us! They replaced an old paver-built patio behind our house with a beautiful stone one. After removing the old patio, they poured concrete to create a solid structure, then applied a natural stone veneer, with steps connecting the upper level to the lower level. They even installed stone veneer on the vertical surfaces at the edges. Our new patio was completed promptly and beautifully. We are proud of the improvement it brings to our home.
