Here at Best Homes, our company is based on the belief that our customers' satisfaction is of the utmost importance. Our team is driven to meet your needs with professionalism, creativity, and efficiency. Established 2005. Owner: Jonathan Perez Office Manager: Paige Marie Campbell Project Manager: Jefry Perez

"Basement Project We absolutely love our new basement! I was very nervous when selecting the contractor for this job. I interviewed three contractors for the job, all seem very decent, but what set Best Home apart was Jeff Segovia. He designed the whole layout of our basement (we love it) and oversaw the entire project from beginning to end. The construction crews were very polite and friendly. Best Home did an excellent job and very flexible with many changes I had and they completed the job on time (took 3 months and exactly 1 week)which was amazing. I am actually hiring them again for additional projects. I highly recommend Best Homes!"

We promise accurate quotes that don’t change, and offer an on time service guarantee, with exceptional communication. Our company is committed to being as environmentally friendly as possible by utilizing multiple donation and recycling centers.

"Everything went very smoothly. Sam, the plumber, and is highly professional and knowledgeable. He replaced 3 faucets, 2 sink plugs, two valves, and two supply lines. Sam inspected the p traps, and he added adhesive where it was necessary. Sam also took a look at my two year old hot water heater, and he assessed my water supply to this unit. We discussed performing a complete drain, and check of the components of the heater at a later date. Sam also advised me that a toilet in the basement should be replaced with a more updated commode. We rarely use this toilet, but it's 35 years old. I felt comfortable speaking with Sam. I did not sense he was doing a sales pitch."

"After extensive research I finally decided on Cabinet Restoration based on all of the positive, glowing reviews and my initial meeting with the owner, Pete.  I decided on new drawer and cabinet fronts along with the boxes being redone with new veneer.    I was confident the job would be completed professionally with a high quality outcome.  Unfortunately, that was not the case.  If Pete tells you he will leave you in the very capable hands of Rob, tell him no, you want someone else.  Rob did a very poor job, he was dishonest, deceptive and had no regard for my house. · Several times I had to clean urine off my bathroom floor.  There are no men in my house · I had clean what looked like either paint or caulk off the bathroom sink handles · I had to clean what appeared to be coffee that was poured into bathroom sink · Rug I put in kitchen because it was snowy, I asked if he didn’t need, please roll up and put aside.  Instead the rug was dumped into the dining room along with all of the debris from the rug · The day the job was finished when I came home to meet with Rob, he was not in his truck, he was not in the kitchen, he WAS wondering in the house somewhere · Didn’t bother telling me when he blew fuses · Added shims atop my dishwasher under brand new counter.  I have no idea why.  Now, coincidently, dishwasher leaks. The list of problems with the work performed : · I pointed out a scratch and was told, “oh that was caulk, it is gone”. Right in front of me he pretended to fix it.  I opened the cabinet and it was still there · Sink front hung crooked · Lazy Susan doors hung crooked · two square corners were not square because the corners had been chipped off · seems had glopped on paint the appeared to be covering the jagged, chipped seem edges · veneer inside a cabinet was mounted over top of microwave bolts, not around them · a new cabinet front has what appears to be a puncture mark protruding  from the inside out · behind one drawer front the veneer is cracked completely from left to right · all of the cabinets where caulk was placed need to be cleaned of the excess caulk that is smeared around Initially Pete did tell me there would be minor imperfections if I look closely.  Everything I was seeing did not need a close examination. When reviewing the job on the last day, I said I wanted the scratch fixed.  Pete offered me either a credit of $175, or they would order new veneer and come fix it.  I told Pete I did not want Rob back in my house.  Pete apologized and then offered me a credit of $1500, “that means I will charge only my cost”.  That may work for them, but I spent thousands of dollars and I am stuck with a subpar job.  I am the one in the hole and very disappointed.  It has been about six weeks and I still can’t figure how to mend all of this.  The biggest disappointment was Pete never offered to look at the job, or send someone other than Rob to fix everything."

If you are looking for a HVAC Contractor, a Plumbing Contractor, or an Electrical Contractor to provide you with great service, you've come to the right place. We provide heating services, air conditioning services, plumbing services, and electrical services to our customers in Frederick and the surrounding Counties, the Pan Handle of West Virginia, and Northern Virginia, from our offices located in Frederick MD. With 3 generations of experience in providing heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services, we are dedicated to providing the best possible products and services for you, and your family.

"Tri State was prompt—they had a tech out within hours when our 20-year-old HVAC broke down. The repair estimate was $800–$1,200, and they also sent a salesman, Mike, to discuss replacement. Mike was courteous and knowledgeable, but, when we sat down to review the quote, the sales process turned into a bad car-buying experience. They started at $34,000, then "discounted" to $29,300—$10,000 -$12,000 higher than other quotes for the exact same unit. Even factoring in their warranty, they remained $8,000–$10,000 overpriced. Mike also claimed they were a four-generation family-owned business, but I later found out they’re owned by Sila Services, a Goldman Sachs private equity firm—which feels misleading. To their credit, canceling was easy (though I hadn’t signed a financing agreement or put money down). Bottom line: Get multiple quotes. Their pricing was excessive, and the sales tactics felt manipulative."

"I accidentally broke the PVC pipe leading out of the condensation drain coming out of my air conditioning unit. (This may seem to be a minor problem, but that is only because you didn't have to haul the buckets of water produced during this heat spell to the sump pump drain.) I put in the request on Monday afternoon. They arrived first thing Tuesday morning -- early. It took them all of about 15 minutes. I could not ask for better service. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and courteous."

Faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replaces FAQs

Frost-free faucets incorporate special design elements that prevent water from remaining in exposed sections during freezing temperatures. The actual valve mechanism sits inside your home's heated wall cavity, allowing any water in the exterior portion to drain completely when turned off. This design significantly reduces the risk of burst pipes and costly water damage during winter months. Though slightly more expensive than standard models, frost-free options provide valuable protection and peace of mind for homeowners in regions experiencing seasonal freezing.

Most standard outdoor faucet installations can be completed within one to two hours when replacing an existing fixture or adding to readily accessible plumbing. Projects requiring new water line installation, wall penetration, or specialized fixtures like yard hydrants will extend this timeframe considerably. Preparation work, such as accessing interior walls, running new supply lines, or installing backflow prevention devices, adds to the overall project duration. Having materials ready and providing clear access to work areas helps minimize installation time.

In regions experiencing freezing temperatures, frost-free or freeze-proof faucets protect against winter damage. These specialized fixtures position the actual shut-off valve deep within the insulated wall space of your home, allowing exterior portions to drain completely when closed. Additional cold-climate considerations include proper slope for drainage, adequate insulation around pipe penetrations, and potentially adding dedicated shut-off valves for seasonal isolation. The modest additional cost of cold-climate faucets is insignificant compared to the potential expense of repairing freeze damage.
