"The previous owner I bought the house from concealed the rotten windows and the home inspector my realtor recommended did not mention that the windows need to be replaced. 5 years later, water started to come into the house and I learned that not only I need windows, but my house susteined significant damage. I looked for a local company willing not only to replace the windows, but to fix the potential damage as much as possible. Not a same day or 2 days replacement company that will slap the new window in the rotten frame but someone willing to replace a rotten stud or seal. And I found Travis that made me an excellent impresaion- honest, knowledgeable and surprisingly, not pushy. After an initial quote I let it sit for about 2 weeks until I decided and except an email asking me if I have more questions...which I had -about 10 of them lol, he let me decide. In 4 weeks his team was already on site. Now his guys are the best. I had Adam and Rafal installing my windows and oh, my , when they opened the walls I was looking in disbelief at the rotten wood. They were able to replace all that rotten wood including wood studs, top and bottom seal, joists, etc and make the window casing look like new. Most companies either walk away or cover the rot but these guys were absolutely amazing. Every detail was adressed and every concern was answered. And I was not an easy customer because I was over concerned and watched everything they did, asking a bunch of questions. Yeah, that kind of a customer. What can I say. There are a lot of windows companies but these guys standed apart being able to handle this complex and challenging project. Financially and emotionally this was a huge decision for me especially because the windows are on the front of my home. Brian helped me to select the perfect windows. Once the windows were delivered, the installation process began. Due to the covid virus, there was a delay in delivery and installation but I was kept informed about any delays. These delays were kept to a minimum for sure. I cannot say enough about the installation crew! I had friends over on the day of the installation and one of them happened to be a carpenter. He assured me that the work being performed on my home was top-notch. Due to the need for lumber replacement surrounding the windows (because we had neglected the old windows for many years), the installation took two days. On the first day we had a huge storm blow in! The storm’s arrival was earlier than expected, so the crew had begun the final removal/ installation. They kept going through the storm and they kept up the level of quality of the installation even while the storm raged around them! They left for the day while it was still raining and I never had a leak of any kind. The next day the trim and caulk was applied. The installers carefully timed these steps in order to let the lumber dry as much as possible before carefully sealing around the windows. The final result is beautiful! The caulking and finishing is impeccable and I am very happy that I went with a company that could handle the extra repair my installation required. I have every confidence that I will love my windows for many years to come!"

Door or window screens installs or repairs FAQs
Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.
The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.
To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.
Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.
Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
