"It went great. I have been looking for a trustworthy, local handyman based in central MA, as I have several projects I'd like to complete in the next couple of years. I started with the relatively simple job of installing an interior handrail in my stairway, and I found Nick's name on this list. During Nick's initial visit, we also discussed larger projects I'd like to have done in the near future. He had great ideas, understood what I was looking for, and sent me detailed estimates for the work I'd like to have done. His estimates were more than fair based on others I've seen (or, more often, those who don't bother to respond because they don't want to bother with small jobs like mine). Nick called today because he and his assistant had a gap in their schedule and I took them up on their offer to come three days before our scheduled appointment. They installed the railing in about an hour and it looks great. I look forward to working with Nick and his crew for future projects - no need to look further!"

"The cabinets themselves were very well made, but the process and other aspects of the experience were less than great. Michael didn't pay much attention to the detailed drawings or project parameters provided by the designer, and didn't verify as-built conditions. As a result one of the cabinets was incorrectly sized and some floating shelves I provided were incorrectly installed. Because they hadn’t been included in the original quote, I had to pay an additional fee. Additionally ,communication and adherence to promised schedule and deadlines was inconsistent. Michael is a nice guy and I can tell he’s capable of doing some very good work, but I wouldn’t hire him again based on this experience."

"Mike and the crew that worked here were all exceptional and extremely available to me for questions. Mike got back to me within an hour, to answer my text or email. The crew on-site worked a long day and showed outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism on all aspects of the project. I also had Mike and crew install a new front deck for me. It is so beautiful and is just what I hoped for. Actually better than I hoped for! I can't wait to have Mike and Co. back next year to redesign and replace my rear deck and railing. I am so happy not to have to think about sanding and staining my cedar shingles!"

Not only did Jack complete the majority of the project independently, but he did so while seamlessly coordinating subcontractors to keep the process running smoothly. Jack kept us in the loop every step of the way, and delivered a product that is superior to any other project we've had done. Jack answered all of our questions around the clock, and made sure we had the information behind his answers. He provided great insight about so many things in the home (whether they dealt with the new build or not). You can tell that Jack is a person who genuinely cares about the work he is doing. He is meticulous and detail oriented, and he won't install something in your home that he wouldn't put in his own home. If I had to go back before this project was started and choose a contractor to work with, I can 100% say I wouldn't choose anyone but Jack. You seriously can't go wrong with Strong Builders. It was a pleasure to work with Jack and we are so happy with our new home."

"We were really pleased with DiOrio's work. We needed a storage platform built in our attic to make room for new insulation. We were concerned a carpenter wouldn't take such a small job so also decided to ask to replace some damaged siding we had here and there around the house. I called DiOrio, and they agreed to come out that week. I had assumed I'd have to make a lot of calls to get someone to come out in the timeframe we needed, so was really happy there. DiOrio was upfront that taking off siding could reveal some underlying damage to the house, which happened to be the case for us. The job went from a $3K estimate to an actual cost of $12K given the extent of the damage. While the cost increase was overwhelming, DiOrio seemed to really know what they were doing. Everything appeared to be done in a high-quality and detailed way, and they communicated with us throughout the process. They were also able to finish the work in a timely way and not keep us hanging on for weeks or months. We're planning to have them back in the spring to check for damage under some additional areas of siding."
