"Spoke with an extremely helpful electrician named Parker! My outdoor outlets stopped working and I thought my Christmas light effort was doomed for the year. I checked the breaker and even changed the outlet. Nothing seemed to change anything so I decided to call a random electrician. Glad I chose the number to Reed Electric! He listened to the issue and decided to talk me through some solutions. Turns out My outdoor outlets had a GFCI connection in my garage. He walked me right to the answer at 7:30pm on a week night! It was refreshing to experience that kind of service! I applaud that kind of selfless tradesmen effort. He could of taken an appointment or told me to call back tomorrow...instead Christmas is back at this house! Thanks Parker!"

"I had a great experience working with Stacey and his crew! Stacey was very responsive when I reached out to him about my job. He came the next day to evaluate the work and was willing to work with me to make sure a few unique features were included to address some peculiarities with my home. He provided me a quote before he left and his price was very competitive. He was also able to start the job within a week.
On the scheduled day of the work he showed up on time and he and his crew quickly went to work. The crew members were nice guys and we had some great conversations about college and pro football. The majority of the work was complete by the early afternoon and the entire job was done in only one day. They showed me all the components of the system--outside the home, in the attic and in the house--and showed me how to use and take care of the system. After the weekend we wanted to adjust some of the airflow in the bedrooms and Stacey sent his crew to help us make these adjustments.
I really enjoyed my experience with Stacey and his crew. They did a great job and were wonderful at making sure the work was tailored to my specific preferences and needs. I strongly recommend them!

"I am very surprised by all the negative reviews, our installation went well.  Our initial appointment that was scheduled had to be changed but they were very flexible and came out on the weekend.  Mr. Logue had his family with him so instead of having them wait in the van we asked the kids to come in and play.  All parts of the installation went well and the fans all work great without any noise or wobble.  I submitted this review right after the service but didn't see it so I decided to write another one.  I would definitely use this service again and am sorry to see he is not on Angie's List anymore.

"Jimmy Beggs prices are fair and reasonable. Work quality is great. If it's raining you may have to wait until a good day but the wait in my opinion is worth it. We will definitely use him again for generac install and other projects we have coming up. If you get him for any electrical you are in good hands. I personally will only use Beggs electricfor now on. Good company, good people."

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Wright, AR

While homeowners with substantial electrical knowledge might technically attempt a subpanel installation, most local building departments require permits and inspections for this type of work. Professional electricians understand local code requirements, can obtain necessary permits, and ensure the installation meets safety standards. Given the significant safety risks associated with incorrect electrical work, most homeowners benefit from hiring a licensed professional.

A standard subpanel installation takes an average of four to eight hours. This timeframe may extend if you're installing multiple subpanels or adding specialized circuits like those for spa equipment. Factors such as difficult access points, complex wiring paths, or permit processing times can also affect the overall project duration.

Adding a subpanel doesn't directly reduce electricity consumption or lower your utility bills. A subpanel simply redistributes power from your main panel to additional circuits. However, organizing your electrical system more efficiently may help prevent overloaded circuits and the associated problems. For actual cost savings, consider energy-efficient appliances and lighting instead.

The appropriate subpanel size depends on your specific electrical requirements. Consider the number and type of devices you'll be powering, potential future needs, and the capacity of your main electrical panel. An electrician can perform a load calculation to determine the most suitable amperage rating for your situation, ensuring you have adequate power without overpaying for unnecessary capacity.

A main electrical panel connects directly to your utility's power supply and contains your home's primary service disconnect. It distributes electricity throughout your entire house. A subpanel, by contrast, receives power from the main panel and redistributes it to a specific area of your home. Think of the main panel as the primary distribution point and the subpanel as a secondary branch that extends your electrical system's reach.

While electrical upgrades aren't as immediately visible as kitchen or bathroom renovations, they can contribute to your home's functionality and safety. Prospective buyers often appreciate updated electrical systems that can accommodate modern power demands. A properly installed subpanel that provides additional capacity for workshops, home offices, or future expansions could be an attractive feature for certain buyers, though the direct impact on home value varies by market.
