"About a month ago, a young man from Power Home Remodeling - The Quality Assurance Manager, Alex P. came to my home to inspect the work one of his crews did on my home...they replaced all the gutters and trim...$9,000 worth of gutters/trim....He needed to get up into my attic space b/c I was told the only way to 'certify' the warranty was to see the work (soffits) from inside as well...he would not take NO for an answer....tells me again about certifying the warranty so finally, I let him up there...lo and behold he says he finds water damage...I look at what he sees and I can't say yes or no that it is exactly what he is telling me... He is very aggressive during his 'pitch' for a new roof...he says that as 'management' he can bundle the gutters and roof together...he writes all of this down on a piece of paper (which I am in possession of)...says he can do both jobs for $24,900...roof and gutters... He shows me the figures...I see it on paper...how much it would cost and its monthly payment...I speak with my wife and we decide to put $10k down...he says to me that $10k will come off the $24,900 once the financing is set...he writes all of this down right in front of me...tells me the $10k will come off the loan as a down payment ... THIS WAS A BOLD FACED LIE... At no time did he EVER say the cost of this project would be $34,000+...my paper work that he showed me, DID NOT have that figure on it...if it did...I would have said NO...he told me the entire project would be $24,900...not $34,900... Had I not looked at the financing paper when it came in, I would have never known I was deceived...at no time was the cost of both projects more than $24,900...I call the company to complain...I tell them what I have in front of me...the figures that were agreed upon by my wife and I and their man Alex P...all they can say is...you signed the agreement!!! Over and over this is what I am told...I ask for Alex P to call me and to this date (6/12/25) I have yet to hear from the guy. Why is that? He's the Quality Assurance Manager...the guy who told me b/c he is management, he can give me a better price...this companies practices are deceptive. Yup I signed the agreement but was told something totally different! I am happy with the product and work but come on...everything you read for reviews on this company is 100% accurate...from how they ended up at my home (doing work in the neighborhood...sure they were!) I just threw away $10k because of this companies deceptive practices!!!! And again, why hasn't Alex P called me back? B/c they got what they wanted and know they are wrong! I have received responses from the company and both responses DO NOT address the deceptive practices of their QA manager, Alex P...I know what I was told and what I was shown for a total price. They make it as if I am an idiot and am making this stuff up...I am not!!! I am not saying I am devoid of blame here b/c I trusted them and in the end, I was misled by this company!"

"It’s never a good time for your roof to start leaking, but if it’s going to happen, you can only hope to find a roofer like Mighty Dog Roofing of Rhode Island. We bought our house a couple years ago with the knowledge that we’d need a new roof soon. Sure enough, this spring, rain started coming in through our bathroom ceiling. We put a bucket out, and started making phone calls. One of those was to Mighty Dog Roofing of Rhode Island. Within a couple hours, they were at our house, placing a temporary patch, and talking us through the work we’d need done. They sent up a drone to take pictures, and peeked into the attic. It was the beginning of a truly exceptional relationship. Here are three reasons we loved working with Mighty Dog: Patience! The guys never got tired of answering our endless questions, or explaining the intricacies of roofing materials in laymen’s terms. We were never made to feel rushed, or silly for wanting to know more. Education! You know what we didn’t know anything about? Roofs! You know what we know a ton about now? ROOFS! Jonathan and Andrew spent a lot of time talking with us about ventilation, snow dams, shingles, chimneys, gutters…I could go on. But they made sure we understood the project, and could make informed decisions about it. They love what they do, and it shows. Competence! They know their stuff. They were well-prepared. They shared realistic timelines. They used great materials. (Our Owen Corning shingles look so gooood!) At all times, they showed skill and enthusiasm for our roofing job. And one more big reason to love them?! Care! Big home repairs are a vulnerable moment, but Mighty Dog took the fear out of the process. They communicated generously. They showed up for the install with an amazing team. They spoke with neighbors on our crowded street to make sure that no one was inconvenienced by vehicles or errant nails. "Very disappointed. We asked for triple pane windows, and someone on their end ordered double pane. Luckily we noticed day of installation, and they had to re-order the proper ones we signed for. Finally the group of installers who came did a horrible job. Trash, insulation, and broken glass on our front lawn. Horribly cut wood trim that we had to redo ourselves. Poor sealing that we need to redo. Our hopper window was misaligned and couldn't close. The hinge arm on our casement window has detached from the channel. Communication is spotty from them, and sometimes we don't get an answer by call or text until we message repeatedly. It took over a year to have our project done from contract signing to end, and there are still issues cropping up. Out of the dozen of contractors we've hired the past year and a half, they have been the most disappointing and for what we paid, the quality of work was truly disappointing."
