"Updated Review November 2025: Upon my previous concerns, HGE escalated my project to Hunter, who took care of everything with great professionalism. Any issues were resolved and the work is as expected. I'm a much happier client now! He also had a great experience, so when we were preparing to list my husbands home and found ourselves needing to replace a deck roof that started leaking and replace some trim, we went straight to HGE. This time has been a terrible experience. Our project manager was different and just horrible. The crews cancelled on him more than once, his communication was severely lacking, and the work was subpar, far below our previous experiences. Big disappointment. "Dave, Jason and Nick showed up promptly within the nicely short 2 hr arrival window. Their vehicles were tidy and in great condition. Each crew member shook hands and came prepared with the agreed upon proposal list ready to begin. The team was super friendly and courteous and well-organized as to which team member would do which type of work. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to complete the work (4 hrs) considering there were about 8 outlets to fix or install including an exterior outlet. They installed exterior light fixtures as well and corrected a number of not to code wiring issues in the panel box. They were very clear up front about potential drywall repairs I would need to make but this was to a minimum. The team cleaned up after themselves and neatly arranged the old fixtures for me to dispose of later. I am very happy with the work and the whole crew was top notch. "Gary and his crew lived up to the name “Superior “. They were always there when they said they would be and were courteous and professional. Gary gave me several good suggestions for the remodel and created a beautiful apartment. I was really concerned about ground water and keeping the apartment dry and safe. He saved me a lot of money with his personal contacts and willingness to to do the waterproofing on the outside as well. I would hire him again and recommend him to others."

"We just moved into a new condo and the previous owners neglected the exterior of the place. We looked up some reviews and called numerous paint companies and handymen for an estimate. Karl emerged from everyone for being the most fairly priced as well as being to get the work completed within a reasonable time. Some companies we spoke with quoted us the work to hopefully be done in 6 months. We hired Karl and he said he could start the work 1 week later. He showed up on time and worked just as he said he would to get the job done. Our front patio looks so much better and we really think the ‘curb appeal’ has increased ten fold.
