His quote was perfectly reasonable and he was professional and very nice without being pushy. Jorge and his partner came over shortly thereafter and took measurements and a few days later, Mary set up the installation. We did not love the style we chose for our curved stairway and when we explained our mistake, they could not have been nicer. They started the process all over again right away and installed it the way we should have chosen in the first place for no extra charge. Use them, you won't be sorry!"

"I called Top Bros Construction after finding them on Angie's List. I recently bought the house and needed some remodeling & upgrades done. They returned my call promptly and came to my house 2 days later to look at the work needed to be done. There was much work to be done & they (Jose, Cesar and their father) listened patiently to what my husband & I wanted done and made suggestions. After getting several estimates we hired Top Bros. The work included removing carpet in the spacious family room, installing hardwood flooring & feathering in the new floor with the old floor in the adjoining kitchen, staining & finishing floor and painting the 2 story living room. The open staircase was wood going upstairs which they also refinished but carpeted going downstairs to the lower level. The stairs going down had to be rebuilt as they were not made of oak treads like the rest of the stairs. In the lower level they removed carpet, leveled the cement floor and installed approx. 1000 sq ft plank porcelain tiles. As the home was vacant, they were able to get there early and spent all day. Cesar, Jose and their workers were friendly, courteous and went out of their way to help us move some items when they realized we could not move them. The hardwood floor is beautiful and you can not tell were the old joins the new. The tiles in the lower level are gorgeous. I have already told them that as soon as it gets warmer I have some exterior work for them including installing a new sliding glass door."

The owner, Marshall, gave me good advice as to the type of carpet I should get for a rental unit and how much I should spend. They gave me a better price than two other carpet companies I called. The installers came out as soon as the painters were finished and did a very professional installation job. "Installers did not come on time, two hours late. Then they had to validate that we paid Empire, which took an hour. The estimate of work was totally wrong, we were supposed to get a floating floor but the installers said they could not do that So they instead did a complete teardown of the existing floor and removed all the old tiles. The quarter round was included in the price of the materials but was never installed because we did not get a raised (floating) floor. So I think I was overcharged for the materials which were not used. I spoke to a number of persons at Empire about such issues without any resolution to my satisfaction. Besides all the problems encountered we do like the floor and it nice looking."

"The craftsmanship is excellent. The time it took to finish the project exceeded expectations. The budget was also greatly exceeded. If possible, monitor and try to control the communications with the building inspector as they could inadvertantly steer you in the wrong direction. The primary reason for the negatives is that Roman had no experience with the product and the product creates many challenges for the carpenter/installer. Those negatives aside, the work outcome as I first stated is excellent. Roman is a stickler for measuring and doing things right all while learning the product on the job. The deck is beautiful."
