"I called the owner, John, the night before and explained that we quickly needed to have a new light installed in our foyer because it was very dark at night and impossible to see into the foyer coat closet.  We also had two other non-urgent issues needing solutions.  <br /> John arrived the next morning and quickly installed the foyer light.  We also had a recessed ceiling fixture that had become loose and was "drooping" on one side.  I expected it would need replacing, but John was able to simply make an adjustment and tighten it back up.  We had a vanity light over our sink in which one of the four lights no longer worked.  Again, John was able to do a simple repair (reconnecting a wire that had become detached) saving us the expense of a replacement fixture. <br /> His quick response and competence were very impressive and I will not hesitate to contact him for future electrical work.  I would encourage anyone in the NE Philadelphia/Bucks County area to call John when they need professional electrical work."

"The two electricians worked on the outside electrical line just as the snow storm was starting. Because one of the guys had worked on the line several years back, he could zero in on the issue. The result was that the repair was less costly (by nearly a thousand dollars!) and was performed more quickly than estimated. With a major storm forecast, I was frankly surprised the team showed up, but I was glad they did and I am thrilled at the result. "The quote was nearly 50% higher than our lowest quote and about 25% higher than the next highest quote. Also, the electrician recommended a GFCI breaker, which would have been incompatible with our installation (the outlet was to be used with an electric vehicle charger that has built-in GFCI protection). Doubling up on the GFCI can cause problems and is against the installation directions. I wouldn't expect the electrician to know this necessarily (he didn't see the installation directions), but he boasted that they have worked with Teslas, so perhaps he should know (or stop using that as a selling point). Wes Carver Electrical was the only one to recommend GFCI, which added even more to the cost and put that part of their quote about 75% higher than what we ultimately paid for the work."

"I've had Glenn of GA Electric to my house multiple times over the years -- I keep calling him back because he's efficient, friendly, and I learn something from him each time. When we first moved in he did basics for us such as GFCI install, adding new receptacles, and fixing a poorly done junction box. Subsequent visits he added a light to a ceiling fan and hooked up new radiant heat in a bathroom. He has allowed me to linger while he works and talks to me about what he's doing so I get to learn something. He has responded very quickly each time I called to schedule work, and his prices seem very reasonable. I should also emphasize how friendly he is! It's fun to have him in the house."
