"I hired Eastside construction To Tape and texture 2 Hallways and a master bedroom, closet and bath. The taper Tom was personable but was the Sloppiest Taper I have ever been around. I have been in the trades since 1972. i requested that Tom scrape out the corners before shooting the texture at least three times, this was done half heartedly. I mentioned to Tom he was the sloppiest taper I had ever seen and asked who was going to clean up his mess. He replied Dean usually sends a crew around, but that was between me and Dean. There was no cleanup crew supplied by Dean. there are several areas that were not sanded properly and texture was shot anyway. I only saw these areas while I was painting. I would never hire this company again. The mess Tom Made and tracked through our house was inexcusable. My wife and I covered our floors, taped off the outlets, installed zipper doors to help keep the dust down. Tom belongs on a Commercial jobsite not an occupied home. I won't make this mistake again. "Ilya and team were great! Communication was timely and constant. Ilya is a hard hard worker and made our master bathroom amazing. He took out our tub and single shower and installed 2 shower head bathroom with heated flooring, floating vanity, and another light above the shower. He is respectful of our home and a dog person for sure! He left everything nice and neat and went through thoroughly to ensure he did not leave any dust or debris past his working hours. "I reached out to Johnson & Sons and several other contractors to discuss the possibility of opening up and completely remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms, with the addition of a shower to the former half bath off the master suite. After receiving bids and meeting with each contractor, I went with Johnson & Sons due to the transparency and consideration Vic Johnson showed when discussing the project and its challenges, as well as providing a detailed quote. Because this remodel involved the removal of walls, tiling of the kitchen/bathrooms, potential size constraints, and a re-plumbing of the house, It was very important for me that things be done correctly, to code and with permits. Once demo and construction started, things proceeded at a brisk pace with minimal lag between subcontractors, and inspections. Their tile guy, Tony was great to work with and very helpful with making the appropriate detail selections around the showers. We did have a long wait for a cosmetic piece of cabinet siding, which ended up being the final part needed to complete the project. Vic was direct with me about the issue and the delay. Such a minor issue is in my opinion, very small potatoes compared to having quality work done. Ultimately, Johnson & Sons came in slightly under their contract price - a very pleasant and welcome surprise."
