"We had a strange odor in the house and feared that critters had gotten into the attic. Tim did a very thorough inspection on the outside, on the roof, and even climbing into the attic. He reassured us that there had been no animal intrusion or presence. He did suggest installing screens in the 61 weep holes around the house and plugging some small holes for mouse/insect control. Very low key, no pressure - just a suggestion. We agreed and contracted for ASAP to do the work. (Of interest, the odor was a failing motor on the HVAC fan.). ASAP Critter People will be my first call if I lose the raccoon battle anytime in the future."

"Jake was extremely professional and experienced when I had a family of racoons in the attic he is extremely delicate with the animals to ensure they are safely removed un harmed and released back into the wild. On top of his professionalism he's a fun person to be around while explaining every step of his work and telling funny stories of other wildlife catches. You will not be disappointed with his work or his character He is reasonably priced as well compared to others I researched 10/10"

"Another fine job from Nick McVey with Animal Remover L.L.C. !! I had a family of raccoons in my attic that had eaten through the aluminum siding, fiber board, wood and insulation.  They were very destructive and noisy to say the least.  I was picking the raccoons up on my security cameras.  Mr. McVey came out quickly,  assessed my problem, explained what was going on and how he was going to address my problem, and fix the damage afterwards. He answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease.  Mr. McVey is very professional, personable, and easy to talk with. He set several traps and has come back daily to check the traps and remove the raccoons. If you are looking for a true professional who is knowledgeable with fair pricing, look no further than Animal Remover L.L.C.  You won't be disappointed !!  513- 324-9453 Thank you Animal Remover !! A customer for life..... The Thompson Family"

Small jobs welcome

"I reached out on Angi's list and David was here the same day. He checked the entire attic and ensured the raccoon was not in the attic. Once that was confirmed, he sprayed the area wit rodent repellent and sealed the hole for me. I can sleep better tonight knowing that I will not be hearing the disturbing scuffling of a raccoon above me. Thank you so much David!!"

"Devin was a great communicator and did fast, quality work remediating bats, sealing the roof, removing insulation and blowing in new insulation. He matched other remediation specialists in their diagnosis and had the best rate. He was also the first to make it out for a quote. I will definitely use his services in the future!"

FAQs for small animal pest control service projects in Cincinnati, OH

Self-removal attempts using store-bought traps can cost $50, but require personal time investment and knowledge of proper handling techniques. While DIY methods might work for isolated cases, professionals bring expertise in identifying all entry points, implementing effective deterrents, and safely handling wildlife.

Consider your comfort level with wildlife management and the potential health risks—armadillos can carry disease—before deciding between professional services or personal intervention.

Most homeowners see initial results within two to five days after professional trap placement, particularly with single-animal situations. However, multiple factors can extend this timeline, including the number of animals present, weather conditions affecting activity patterns, and the complexity of your property layout.

Properties with established armadillo populations might require one to two weeks of active trapping. Discuss realistic timeframes with your wildlife specialist during the initial consultation to set appropriate expectations.

Filling and repairing burrows adds $75 to $110 per hole to your total project cost. While some comprehensive service packages include minor repairs, extensive landscape restoration requires a separate payment.

These repair costs cover materials like topsoil, sod, or concrete patching compounds, plus the labor to properly restore the damaged areas. Before finalizing any service agreement, clarify exactly which repair services are included and which will incur additional charges.

While armadillos remain active throughout the year in many regions, scheduling removal during less busy seasons for wildlife control companies might secure slightly better rates. Fall and winter months often see reduced demand for these services, potentially offering more scheduling flexibility and competitive pricing.

However, the most cost-effective approach is addressing armadillo issues promptly when first noticed, regardless of season, as delaying can lead to more extensive damage and higher ultimate costs.
